I think he's talking BS when it comes to the problems with Fiscar's. I have 3 pair, my first pair 3 years old and still sharp as new, at least no noticeable difference. The only reason I have 3 pair is I usually get all smoked up while trimming and forget where I put them when I was finished. So after looking I run up to the store and get a new pair.

I did say fiskars are a good product. My criticism is that they do deteriorate after heavy use- particularly the action between the blades and the sharpness of the blades. Especially if you trim wet plants. I can't hate on them much because I use them myself for years and was quite satisfied when I did. I have come to prefer several other brands products after using them.

i use my fiskars for cutting the plant down and trimming.. and cutting the stems to reasonable lengths.. and none of mine have "deteriorated" so im not sure what your talking about...
