How long did it take for your tops to root?

I chopped the top off and took cuttings on the 2nd July




The cuttings had roots showing out of the pots on the 11th so 9 days




5 days later.
Moved the light high, food and temps kept low as i didn't want them to grow too fast




I dropped the light about a week ago and upped the food and temps as i think i have about 4 weeks left until harvest so i'll build these 2 up to replace their mum. I'll take some pics of them tomorrow if i remember.

Yeah i can't believe how big they got, she has 8 that size and probably another 8 about half as big.
They are fattening up nicely now

Can I ask your cloning method....

I just cut clones in the usual way, sharp knife sterilised by dipping in alcohol, scrape the stem a little and dip it in clonex gel.
Stick it in some freshly watered (25% strength food) coco/perlite mix and cover it for 3 days in a propogater under 18/6 lighting at 25 degrees room temp (dont touch it, don't water it, don't even look at it) after that open the vents, 2 more days take the cover off and check the pot weight, if it feels light give it another feed if not leave it alone. Once i see roots from the bottom of the pot it get full nutes and off it goes.



Heres how they look today, under 2 x 55w T5 tubes in a home made hood.
I didn't have 2 pots the same size though when i repotted them up so they are now known as mrs brown and mrs black
I have already started the training on mrs brown and will do the same on mrs black in a couple more days.

My guess is 9/14 for harvest.. will start monitoring the trichs more closely after this week. Right now I see quite a bit of cloudy but no amber trichs (outside of a few on the sugar leaves)

Thanks, yeah i did a whole heap of reading before i started.

I would add more lights tomorrow if i could but i just don't have the space to do more than 1 plant or 2 if i keep them small
It's probably a good thing as i'm in the uk and 1 or 2 plants is just a warning or small fine.
I really envy growers who have the space to grow trees, i would really like to try that ... maybe 1 day

I feel you on this, it is hard not to occasionally get "grow room envy" for all these bastards posting pics of what looks like a warehouse compared to what we get to grow in. I try to convince myself that it helps me to concentrate on a single plant and doing it right, and usually that works

Good point thats why i'll tell myself next time i'm looking at a warehouse grow and wishing that was me lol

Well having two of this large grow rooms I can tell you that growing is no longer fun or neat, it's allot of work. Like as shit ton of work

Yeah i can imagine, it takes me about 10 - 15 mins a day to sort out my plant and 2 cuttings, in your case its probably like having a 2nd job ... how many hours a week do you spend in your room?
