Getting clones at Denver cannabis cup

We are planning to take a road trip back to Denver next 04/20 and I'm wondering how difficult it will be to get clones as a tourist and resident of an illegal state. Would it be pretty easy to get clones at the cup, or am I going to have to find some random biker in a bar that grows? Obviously I want to buy from someone that isn't going to sell me bagseed clones they just named whatever will sell; or worse: rob me. I have some old friends up there still and family but not sure if I will be seeing anyone. I'm mostly interested in getting a GSC forum cut and Blue Dream and some cut of OG Kush and if possible a cut of charlotte's web or some high CBD clone.

Also, how much do these clones usually run... like am I looking at about $60 for a clone or ? I will have to transport them in my car about 1,200 miles back home. I'm a personal grower looking for some cuts for head stash... and possibly make them available to a couple close friends... elite genetics are needed in the heart of the mason dixie bible belt.

From what I heard... Good clones like gsc are gunna run pretty expensive for a good pheno. Most that go for cheap are usually just someone popping beens and just cutting clones never actually flowering them before know which are the keepers

you might be able to score clones at the cup - that would be the easy part. getting them home is another story. you might be better off buying seeds - if caught they're likely to be smashed and that's usually about it. get caught with clones and yer cultivating! $15-$20 is a reasonable clone price - for a small clone. $60 is absurd, unless it's a big plant in a one gallon at least... I can't stand people charging obnoxious amounts of money for "elite" genetics - get over yourselves you arrogant pricks!

Yea, seeds are your best and safest bet because you can order them today, likely have them in a week or 2 and have exactly what you want. Driving across several states with questionable clones is dangerous for your freedom. The Attitude and a few other online shops have a great selection and offer secure/discreet shipping. Attitude also offers some super secret disguised shipping option with some weird gift type items to mask what is inside. Costs a few extra dollars, but if that makes you feel safer you might consider it. The rules in CO are changing, but getting clones home that distance might not work out, so really, seeds are your best option. You can order 303 seeds from CO, and I can verify that they do bring the fire. :bigjoint:

Oh, and enjoy your trip to the cup!

And remember, law enforcement in the surrounding states is likely to be lining the borders, just waiting for people to slip things out, especially around 4/20. The good news is that seeds might be available in retail stores by then.

Cheers and good luck!

Good point just naturale. Thanks for the feedback so far; obviously seeds are not an option for clone only cuts. I am def worried about transporting them, but people should not abide by unjust laws... this is not what the forefathers of the United States intended, and this is not what we left Great Britain for. George Washington and Paul Revere would have transported some damn girlscout cookies across borders :joint:

GSC clones can be found for $50 although I do not know their cut. Blue Dream can be found for $10-15, and most clones in general are $8-$20 around these parts.

Chances of getting Charlottes Web are slim to none. That is a very protected strain. You can get high CBd strains though like Z7 or CBDiesel. 303 seeds is responsible for those genetics!

If it is truly clone only, then it will cost if you can even find the real deal. And Hoonry- Elite genetics usually have a high cost due to the cost of creating the strain. ie- Travel across globe to obtain said genetics then the continual breeding (true breeding not pollen chucking) over the course of several years ends up having a deep pocket effect. People like to get paid for their work, I am sure you do so do not go around bashing breeders for wanting to get paid. Pollen chuckers on the other hand are another story.

Still trying to get a Harlequin, the guy who was distributing the plant seems to have vanished, just before I was able to score one. Eventually, either he or his Harlequin will surface. He was adamant that seeds are not possible for this one as it is perfectly balanced THC:CBD.

After speaking to the Harlequin guy on the phone he was insisting that the plant he has is the only one that matters because of its perfect balance... I'd love to get one going, so def let me know. I just started a few cuttings of Meltdown.

Everyone claims to have the ONE special cut. But take what someone says with a grain of salt. I can get lab test results showing the ratio of cbd to thc for the cut I am getting.. Tell him if it is the only cut that is worth anything then prove it with a lab test to show the results! It is not that expensive but if he is boasting his cut is the best then he should have no problem proving it.

Also Harlequin is said to produce 4% CBD and 2%thc during veg with out the need of flowering and this was tested just from the leaves. 2:1 ratio aint bad but Z7 is 15%CBD and 5% or less thc. 3:1. Either way CBD counteracts the effects of THC so my opinion is to go with the lower THC and higher CBD strains. Also Harlequin is said to be at harvest about 7-9% CBD and 3-4.5% thc. Those are the results last tests from NorCal at my cousins collective with the cut they have. The lab test EVERYTHING! He is now harping me to get him the Z7 and CBDiesel to run out there.

I went to the Denver cup this past year, and I can say from that experiance that seeds are your best bet. I was able to bring back 7 different strains in seed form. As a non medical non CO resident there was pretty much no way for me to get access to clones, or even medical buds. I got a little bud from a couple waitresses, and one guy tried to charge us 50 for his half eighth of med buds and we laughed at him. Now this all might be different if you knew someone out there that could hit a dispensary for you, or if your one of those people that is real good at networking. We talked to 15-20 people trying to find herb and genetics.....you might get better results talking to 200, but that raises risks too.......

We are very sketch here in CO to outsiders. We know nothing of you and we think anyone asking questions is a UC or some type of imformant honestly. Make some friends in CO on here ir some other forums and build a trust with them, and then pay a visit before the cup to establish more trust and you will have a much larger chance of scoring the things you search for and possibly a crash pad to stay at for free why you are here!

I would never blame anyone for being scetched by strangers either I completely understand!! I wasn't upset after my trip, little bummed I didn't get to try a bunch of different buds at the cup and while being out there. But I did get to try prolly 100 different types of oils/concentrates which was awesome, and I got my genetics so I was thrilled!

Their CBDeisel is part of the Z7. It was CBDeisel crossed to something else but it puts some decent CBD% out there and you could probably find a high % pheno if you took the time! I still have a few of em left to run.
