Which has the most sativa???? And how do I begin...

I have a few samples of Critical Haze, Early Queen X Afghan Haze and Nevilles Skunk. I am very keen on attempting to germinate and grow whichever is the most sativa natured of the seeds in hand...Which one would you advise?

My plan, as I received the seeds for free, is to try grow a plant or three as cheaply and basically as possible. To begin with, I will try to germinate in moist paper between two plates in the drawer. Once I see some roots appearing I will transfer to some decent potting mixture in small pots and once the shoots emerge from the surface, cover with a half plastic bottle top. I am in Melbourne where the weather remains spring-like. Low 20s in th daytime with plenty of sunshine and anywhere from 10-15 at night. Are these temperatures too cold to leave outside?

Any advice is welcome...especially any cheap, easy additives I can use with the potting soil to get thing moving in the right direction.

That doesnt sound as basic as possible.

Put the seed in dirt and let it grow. If you want, you can soak it in water for 12 hrs before planting to speed up germination. Don't let the tap root emerge before you plant it. The dome on top is unnecessary.

Those temps are OK for adult cannabis but may be too cold for seedlings. Its a good idea to start seedlings indoors under fluorescent lights until they have a few sets of leaves, then gradually introduce them to outdoor sunlight.

I not only germ to a full taproot, but until underdeveloped cotyledons are present.
I then remove the shell, planting taproot down and cotyledons just above soil line.
Perfect seedling, every time.

Cheers for the advice and information.

It has been less than 24 hours and already I can see some small roots peeking out of the tiny seeds I have placed between two plates, between 4 sheets of moist paper...How do I know when they are ready to be placed into the seed raising potting mix I bought???

I'm over in perth mate and plant outdoors every year. If you can hold off a month atleast before you germinate them seeds. I plant directly into the soil and have a 99% success rate doing it this way. Just remember when they're seedling keep em damp but not drenched.
