I'm new to indoor gardening (of vegies at least) and I just put my blaze of glory pepper plant in the fresh new 143w grow closet with 1 of my babies that's 5 days old since it popped. I noticed after just under a week in it, it is growing vigorously but (I do 12/12 from seed) its been under 12/12 and I just saw the beginnings of fruit clusters its beginning to shoot peppers everywhere and it just recovered from an attack from my cat. that's why its in the safety of the closet. I've been giving it Alaskan fish fertilizer 5-1-1. I was just wonder do pepper plants rely on a photoperiod to tell it when to bud so to say?

Thank you so much dannyboy +rep. Do they need different nute regiments in different stages? Should I give them more potassium and phosphorus when they are producing veggies?

Up your lights on time to 24 hours a day for the first 5 to 7 weeks. After that cut it back to 18/6 or you run the risk of developing leaf chlorosis (sp?).

U could try it but for me I just feed a well balanced fertilizer all the way through.

I do 12/12 from seed for my ganja ladies. And my pepper plant was a clone from my father so its already mature and big its way past its 7th week. It thanks for the worry but all my leafs are perfectly green and healthy looking.
And dannyboy I'm feeding my pepper plant aswell as my 3 cannaladies a slightly balanced fertilizer 8-5-5. All my plants respond well to it and every other feeding I do a light feeding of fish fertilizer 5-1-1 very weak maybe 1/4-1/8th strength.
