I didn't say evolution was a fact (though the biological process of evolution is indeed an observable fact), read my post again. I stated that it is a fact that we are related to the other ape species. This is an easily verifiable fact.

No one said you weren't human.. Humans are a species of ape.. Yes gravity is a fact, gravitational theory is simply an attempt to explain it, the same goes for evolution, we know it occurs, we can see evidence of it, and we have a theory of how/why it occurs, if that theory is wrong it will be revised but evolution will still remain a constant.

I have an unusual view of god and evolution. I beleive the world in general is much too complex to be random. But I think evolution makes sense too. so in my mind i dont see why they cant coexist. I never understood why people cant believe both. but i believe God planted the for life and created evolution as a mechanism to make it so adaptable to everything. it makes perfect sense to me. this give God both the role of creator and sustainer, a fairly unique view ( i think).

Also, please no buzzkills in this thread. its just for some lesuirly discussions. no need to get worked up, this is all just tokin talk

Nature is very efficient. It must produces MORE of whatever being is needed to survive, in order to ensure their survival. Humans have hijacked the process though. We are smart enough to save the lives of those dying (hooked up to a tube and breathing machine). And just dumb enough to think that that's a good thing.

We institute law to prevent people from killing each other in the streets. And then start for-profit wars in small, defenceless countries. Don't blame nature. She is hot with energy & lifeforce, but cool in disposition.

No no no. I wasn't directing that statement toward you. I was directing it at blonddie07... He's denying religious and scientific explanations of life so I was curious as to what his theory is...

But you have a point. They can coexist and I know many christians and other religious people who believe in evolution. Then again these are the more laid back religious people and don't take the bible as truth word for word...

I believe both A theory in which science may or may not back(our evolution from primitive apes etc..) doesnt mean God did not intend for it nor create the scenerio for it to happen.In my opinion we are all part of a much larger phenomeon then we can grasp such a phenom can really validate both beliefs. its really within the prided concept of humans that a common understanding cannot be reached. Biblical people feel God created all, indeed then God would intend for all to be created and in the process our very own evolution takes place. Hence, science can be applied to in theory because after all our ability to reason and analyze is a direct result of a brain, which too was a gift from God.
