OK goddammit guys I'm getting 'barrel envy' LOL... You guys have some serious hardware. I'd LOVE a Mossey, we have to cull mousebirds on a yearly basis in order to protect our fruit yields and I could really put one to absolutely fabulous use, sigh...

I haven't touched a full auto since my grandpa retired from the military, he made it all the way up to Major and was stationed at a training base so I got serious advantages out of the situation :) Guns are SO not scary if you grew up around them and have seen a million people treat them with respect. I think they seriously teach you to control yourself, your temper etc. You only need to fire an auto at a target once to know there's no turning back from pulling a trigger. And the ethic extends all the way to your fists and feet too.

Gun owners hardly ever end up being violent by nature in my most humble opinion. My grandpa could put a hole in a quarter from 100 metres with no scope. I NEVER in civilian life saw him lose his temper, or even raise his voice. Total self-control. Yeah he was a hardcore man with his recruits in front of him but hell that's part of the JOB. You can't earn respect unless you are the Alpha male around in those situations, you be nice to a group of youngsters and they'll eat you alive that's a fact.

I honestly think it should be a law to make everybody carry a side-arm at all times at least. Think of it like this: how likely would it be for somebody to try attack another person ( or rape, or rob etc) if they KNOW that person is packin'? Good point to ponder that. If there's a 50 percent chance you end up with a hole in the head, I think most violent criminals will let the opportunity just walk past and go find a job.
Yeah but then youre literally putting life and death decisions in so many hands. How many arguments happen in USA every day just people standing in line in McDonalds or a bank or something. Not everyones like your grandpa sadly.

Slowbus,

I think its Better to have firearms and be trained with them than to be an Unarmed Clueless Sheeple like you.

you can stay in Comi-Fornia with all people who are afraid of the dark and everything else.

Sheeple like you are Afraid of inanimate objects like knives, axes, hammers, guns, frying pans etc.

I bet you want us to be like the UK where they make round tipped cooking knives because the citizens shouldn't have pointy objects.

Good Luck when you need to protect yourself and your family!

Remember the recent attack by knife wielding idiots in The UK, they had illegal knives and they killed innocent people but No One had a Legal gun to stop the attack.

Ill take my chance with the Guns and knowledge rather than ignorance and a short blissful existence.

You have no idea who and what you are talking about. You should read a little more before talking out your ass at people here.

500,000+ guns are STOLEN each year in the U.S.* (not counting theft from the government). I wonder how many thefts are because the gun owners waived their guns around like an extension of their penis?

Slow Bus,
I like the fact that you can cut and paste statistics, it shows promise for you.

Two sides to every story.
I personally have never had a Gun stolen and I have owned gun over 30 years.

On a flip note, I have stopped 3 muggers with bats coming at me and I never fired a shot, it's called " Restraint" based on training.

I also was able to stop an attack on a lone woman in a parking lot from a strong arm robbery/ car jacking because I was armed trained and unafraid to protect my fellow citizens, even Sheeple like you.

I am a major proponent of more training requirements and background checks but I am realistic.

those gun thefts would be lowered ( if the number is not inflated by the media for the story)
if the laws to store guns were followed and made tighter.
A safe is an absolute necessity to store guns.
I was a lock smith and worked from a Van for 15 years, I carried a gun every Day.
I defended myself, I defended an innocent person who I did not know.

What the fuck have you done but flame the thread because you are anti gun?

time to go eat a sammich!

You obviously have no clue on this, round tipped cooking knives? Ive worked in many commercial kitchens in the Uk and never seen one of these

Illegal knives? What makes a knife illegal then? Also they used a bog standard kitchen knife and were shot by armed police with a "legal gun" as you put it
