Need information on my first cure

Hello all, I put my buds in mason jars last night. I'm a little confused, can someone please advise. Each jar has 62% humidity packs. My RH in the house is 47-52%. The stems snapped nicely, and the buds were nicely dry to the gentle squeeze. I closed the lid, when I awoke, I opened the jars and they still smell "green"....what do I need to do to get that nice smell......?

you gotta keep them in the jars and the chlorophyll will escape. "burping" is what you do in case there is too much humidity in the buds~ after leaving it for an hour or two open it and check the stems again, if they bend again try opening it for ten mins 2x or 1x a day, until it stops happening or even continuing drying it.

if they still felt dry I would suggest leaving them closed up for a week then check them if they are still dry nough to not mold then keep them closed a month..... burping is not the goal, not burping is. the idea is to dry them enough that they do not need to be opened up again. bla bla bla oxygen feeds bad bacteria bla bla bla every time you open the jar you feed the bad guys bla bla bla I would recommend dumping them out and letting them dry if there too wet still. once jarred check them in a day if ok check them I a week if ok check them in a month.... that's how I would go about it...

the question mark confuses me, it doesn't sound like a question but there it is. I hope it all works out for you. it is a tough balancing act but once you get it.... you got it... I might also add that nizza has the right idea I just wanted to get across the point that burping is not to cure it is to check moisture levels and re assess your next steps weather it be dumping and drying longer or just leaving it open for a few.
that makes sense, thank you?

the jar allows the moistures content to even out... then you take it out and dry the outer parts of the bud... its a wick drying effect... just don't let it sit in or out of the jar for too long or it will get too dry or it will mold if it gets too wet... important thing is not to let the outside get too dry at any point in time.. after about a week of drying and another week or 2 of curing the hay or grassy smell should go away...
