25 watt diodes, any hydro companys use these

They have been selling 25w, 50w, and 100w multichips for many years in the aquarium hobby. Some have even designed a 'dream chip LED' for aquariums. Biggest issue with every multichip I have seen other than a Kessil is they are made in china and the spectrums listed do not match reality when you place them under a spectrometer and test them.

Aliexpress has 100w 660nm chips I see from doing a quick search. I also see a 30w Cree Grow multichip.

I doesn't look like it's a Chinese multichip LED. It looks like a Cree XLamp.

You are right.. I should have phrased it better. I meant every 'custom' aquarium or grow multichip that I have seen comes from china. I wouldn't use the Cree multichips for either hobby myself, but I do know others do with some success. Cree is more about general lighting and not making lights for hobbies, ie. they don't make a 420nm or 660nm and have no plans from the responses I have received from them. Sure their royal blues and 630nm reds can be used, but they don't make LEDs that cover both peaks of chlorophyll A and B spectrums. That is why I still stick with 3w LEDs today.. I know there are some great quality 3w'ers with ideal spectrums that I have yet to see in a multichip. A great multichip is certainly possible, and may even exist somewhere, I just haven't found one and I do a lot of searching.

Luminus was sold to China a few months ago. :( I know not everything from China is bad, but I have ordered literally thousands of LEDs from china, and 90% fall outside their stated spectrum and I have a lot of failures and DOAs with China LEDs.

Luminus Devices, a VC-funded firm developing and selling solid-state lighting products, was sold to Chinese LED maker San'an for $22 million, according to LED news

You're right! I thought it looked familiar - I've had a flashlight with a SST-50, so I recognized the look of the LED, but remembered wrong and thought it was one of my XLamp LEDs.

For the flashlight interested people out there: It was an Olight M20 Warrior Titanium I had. Flashlight made out of titanium.
