So there alot of people that say harvest when it's amber and cloudy. And some say harvest when it's cloudy. Can i get your opinion on that ?

Amber means the THC is breaking down. I prefer mostly milky and it also affects the high. The more cloudy and amber the more of a body high and the more clear milky, the more of a cerebral high.

Amber trichome's are dead tricome's which is CBD. Cloudy is THC. Some people harvest when they have a bigger amber percentage of trichome's which gives you that couch lock eat all your food and fall asleep high. Cannabis reach's it's MAX potency when there are more cloudy and the trichome's are starting to amber.

Amber trichomes are DEGRADING thc, showing that they are past their peak THC content. Clear trichomes are IMMATURE and their THC content has not peaked. Milky trichomes are MATURE and their thc content is peak. Most growers aim for 30% amber and the rest milky, but as others have said you can harvest for personal preference.

If you want an energetic high grow a sativa dominant strain, if you want a couch lock high grow an indica dominant strain. Letting your trics turn amber just degrades your thc by up to 90%. Choose the strain that suits what kind of high you want and cut at as close to all cloudy as possible for the most thc content possible. There will always be at least a little amber kicking around by this time.

Neither IMO- when they clear up coming out of Cloudy IMO is the time to pick.
Look at several flower cluster. Keep track in your head how many are cloudy. How many are Clear, how many are amber or turning amber.
I like to pick when I have a good % of clear trichromes compared to cloudy or amber or ambering a mix of clear, and amber.

So at the beginning of THC degradation in the trichomes, THC is at its peak. Some growers tend to harvest at this stage, looking to get more THC.

However, in the next 2 weeks, 25% more weight is added to the buds, as the more THC continues to break down into CBD or CBN. So, few growers wait for 2/3rd of the pistils turning amber or brown and they harvest the same for more CBD.

Milky over amber. When they start ambering, you are past peek potency BUT NewWorldRecruit hit it on the nose. 2 weeks after the plant reaches it's peek potency, the bud's will start to swell as the THC degrades. So, if you want, you can harvest the main cola when it's at it's peak potency and then harvest the rest a few weeks later for a nice mix. But it all come's down to the user and their need's.
