HTP, it really sucks & u cant always blame it on the Dr's. A friend of mine that I got her a job at my Dr's. office told me that since this damn Obama care went thru things have changed dramatically. She said the Feds have hit all the Dr's to cut back or stop writing scripts, & to fire patients. She said that according to Obama care rules it states that NO patient should ever receive more than 15 pain pills pre month ever, & the goals to get all patients down to that or fire them. I have personally been cut back the past 2 months, & drug tested every week in june & have only been drug tested twice in the last 7 or so yrs. She said that all patients on medi care, & or Medicaid can be tested every time they come in & it will always be paid for. So ur not alone in this, I have been in the office in june when this all started & every time the Dr. was firing patients, & lots of times the cops were called because they were not wanting to b let go. The weed helped me more than the meds ever did, but I couldn't function that well on it like I could on the meds, even the demeral & dildauid. But living in BFE where its not legal Im tired of having my door kicked in or my neighbors. It just takes all the spirit out of u. I curse ever leaving Cali to come back to the damn Ozarks.Most of the Dr's. that r money hungry like the one that screwed u have moved to Co. or Fl. where they can operate with no strings. It really sucks when its the Dr's that have done this to some of us, not in my case cause I have always been a tecato loco. But either way its not fair. I had a Dr tell me once that they only get to spend 5 min. on pain in their training, now that's where the pain Dr's come in they spend more, but still not enough & now the cops & govt. r dictating to them & it just sucks.

Im not denying that Im an addict, a tecato loco !!! But admitting I am is the 1st. step in recovery !!! Hope everyone has a great weekend, I cant cause we have had hard steady rain for 9 days & I don't own a boat any more. Guess I just have to go open the shop & buy stuff from all the dope fiends since Im bored.
i hate the word "recovery" and like "survivor" better..having the recovery mindset always puts drugs in the forefront..i don't believe in the "step" process..addiction is a disease like cancer and like cancer you can be predisposed genetically..i don't need scarlett letter "R" sewn on my clothing..imo

I think they drug test because they can. Because they can - they will. They make money off of it. Its not like our government was like hey do this to save us money. The doctors do it to scam medicare.
I pay for all my medical costs. I did not have insurance for a full year. I spent $70,000 on medical bills. They cut me off my pain meds, they fucked up my surgery, they canceled another one. I moved doctors now, but it is starting to feel like the same shit a new day.
I dont know what they do not understand with the statement "I am not addicted to pain medication, I am addicted to being pain free or close." I have been off any narco for over a year and a half now. I might have had a few for a tooth but that was only 10 and I never got a refill.
Does my life suck because I am not taking Narcos? Well, it depends on how you look at it I guess. I feel so. But when I take them now, I become a really angry person. But I feel that I become angry because I can start doing things, and I get pissed that they have not been done before. I do a lot more around the house, I build things, I enjoy things more. Am I a gumpy fuck? Sure. Do I have sex when I am on pain meds? Yes, more then if I am not.
I think I might think I am grumpy because I am just a eeyore when I am not on them.
Just trolling about life with my club dragging on the ground wishing I could swing it.

precisely my argument..you CAN have it over..since my treatment..I don't even have the desire, no cravings at all..recovery? right.. just keep in mind that there are people who make money off those who "relapse"..well shit yeah, if your surrounded by other users all the time..12 step programs..nothing like being in a group of addicts to help you get over addiction..bind leading the blind
I beg to differ, a year ago we were talking about the cave you picked out..you are in such better circumstances now..you are enterprising..mist wall, outdoor coal fire pizza oven, authoring a cook book..you are out of the job (you hated) you were throwing dishes at the wait staff..remember? You even got your SSI, with our friends on chat encouragement..
