i have it now but its trivial, plants grew through the smart pots in the the schwaggy soil and have other problems.

had it in previous years, always ignored it, foliar sprayed, top dressed, hammer them with nettle and horse tail tea and focused on mold prevention, always ended up with something smokable (except last year)

in the future ill put some thought in to prevention, dont know how to help yourself, polly i would be 100% against though

Cheers for the link, I had seen it before, there isn't much on the web about it and if I had been thinking I would have sprayed a preventative because I have seen it for years on different plants but never took any notice.
I sprayed with Horsetail the other day, not sure how effective it was.

Sorry to hear about your own issues, what's wrong with them?
 
grew in to acidic soil, new growth is shrivelling up, some had huge white patches, top dressing with sacks of manure and a few days of rain seem to have turned things a bit more normal.
 
normally their great, its just that heatwave sent the roots deeper than usual. got a tarp and barrel set up at the remotest site incase it happens in the future so i can keep them watered easier.

do you have any in the ground?
 
I suppose one is in the ground now, with the heatwave we had root growth exploded and I had it in about 50L of soil in a rubble sack, anyway I tore the bag adding more soil/perlite so I took the bag away and now it's in a big mound so the roots have probably gone down as far as they could
 
Hey Clouds, how goes it with yourself?

All my plants have goddam leaf spot disease so focusing all my efforts into controlling it, not easy though, the bloody thing is in for the long haul.
 
what kinda leaf spot?? that's not good news! my guys are growing fine.. although they are far too big now for my cfl bulb.. desperately need to get em under my hps. but my 6 dwarf are a few days left from finishing.. i'm eventually gonna take on the collossal task of growing outdoors like yourself but leaf spot deseases are kinda putting me off!

I think it's called Septoria leaf spot.
If you go back a page or two you'll see a badly infected leaf.
Even my RP's have it now and it slowed their growth, they're almost a month old and on their 5th leaf set only.
To be honest the only disease I was worried about was bud rot or powdery mildew and hadn't done my homework on all possible pathogens, from what I've read though there is no cure but it can be prevented.
We are at the mercy of the weather here and being Summer makes no difference, next year though I'll invest in resistant strains and do alot more prep and preventative work.
a polytunnel for outdoors is ideal but not always easy find a location.

yeah I am really looking forward to this strain. White widow is very sugary and big bud well of course is a big yielder. I do have some double white which I am also looking forward to running but I think we will run that in the co-op. Double White: (white widow x great white shark), should be a very sugar coated strain!

they will be fine under the cfl while you wait for the dwarf to finish, the red from the cfl spectrum will/should limit height and then when you put it under the HPS the flowers will swell!
 
@tonto: man sorry about your luck! that sucks when you put all that time, work, and love into a plant! I have been there and lost my entire run two times in a row because of a non calibrated ph meter and high temp water but that was my fault but it still sucks and that is why it has taken me so long to start another personal run that is how frustrated I am but I am pretty much over it now. Good luck man!
 
damn bastard bollix...... got mould issues on the back of some of them, only noticed when i moved out the back two too chop them... lost about 3 ounces i`d say, not happy but with that heat and with not getting the venting sorted i should have expected something to go tits up...

Fuck man, gutted for you. Such a long time to wait just to throw something out. The mould is a real heartbreaker but at least you didn't lose the lot, and this is probably the worst time of year as well. it's so fucking humid outside.
 
sorry to hear about all the grow problems at the moment. mold is a big problem in Ireland and cannot be cured after infection, only prevention works, best prevention is ventalation also genetics plays a big part stick with mold resistant strains.
 
thanks guys, not too worry we still got half the yeild in and it hasn`t seemed to affect the younger plants just yet... i think it was the hot spell that caught me out, what with not being able to open up and allow cooler air in and the humidity must have been through the roof at times, also gave the bro a loan of one of the fans as the shops wee sold out mid hot spell...

lesson learned, almost cried when i had to toss the buds that were affected..



so hows your doing guys any one ready to chop? just chopped?
