Hey Schuylaar, I have already called that one. I did hear from one in Springfield & it looks like after 3 hrs. on Thur. they will make a determination if they can take me as is, or I may have to sit through their long in house program & or still go there everyday for awhile. So u see Im not wanting a flake Dr. I just want to do this cause its actually working for me, I just don't want to have to buy it off the street. If however they turn me down, I will have no choice to go back on my meds & try to get it down to as written. I do thank u for ur information, but like I said I have been doing nothing but trying to get a Dr. the last wk. since I have been out.

Ur lookin at this all wrong man...once on subs they wont get u hi...ull feel good n have energy but kiss ur days of gettin hi goodbye...on opiates anyway...if u take subs like ur sppsd too they DO block opiates and subs will make a normal person so hi theyll think theyre dying but to an addict it really is medicine and wont get u hi...just normal...I double dose n triple dose all the time just cause I got a steady flow of subs...its a waste to dose more than 2strips in 12hours imo and experience

You want to find the one that allows you your meds with someone holding for you so you don't have to pick up meds everyday (cause that's bullshit)..i will make a call today and see if i can get a name for you in your state that allows outpatient..what do you mean "turn you down"? Also, how are you getting subs now?

Sub docs usually have a waiting list...in my area anyway...methadone clinics usually offer subs or subutex along w the done..subs are more expensive but at a clinic u can walk in and dose the same day....idk but for any of this to work u gotta be ready and want it for real or its a waste of time....

Considering I only have 4 more subs left it seems to make more sence to just use my drugs & wait & hope I can get into a Dr for my subs. Im not fortunate enough to live around a big city like u Schyulaar & the only other way for me to get them is to buy them off the street, & I wont do that. It just makes more sence to get back on my scripts until I can get into a Dr. or am able to move back to Cali & away from here in BFE..

Buprenorphine is stronger in smaller doses, so if I only had four left I would take ~1mg a day until I had a new source set up....
So if you have 12 or 8mg strips that could last you a good while....

Worst case i would rather go to the methadone clinic than start coppin off the street again....

I ran through my months supply is why I would have to hit the street, & that's something I refuse to do. At worst I will have to go through a 30 day in house to get more refills & that sucks cause I don't need or want that cause my business would fail if I wasn't there to run it, & Im also working on another worthless degree on line & I would fail at that as well. I know it sounds like dope fiend shuffle but its the truth. I really don't want back on my meds but when u spend a wk. hearing that the Dr. has moved out of state, or theres a 6 month wait, or having to go through another program it does bring u down & give u the WTF attitude. When it was my time, I was told there would be a six week wait, too..I begged and pleaded with the receptionist in person..that's how bad I wanted out..got the appointment, the rest is history.

Difference here is, you already have the appointment tomorrow..there are tons of people that need help and not enough resources to go around..you are very lucky to get this opportunity.

One thing I will tell you about tomorrow..do not lie about your use (saying it out loud is hard but not THE hardest..that is coming and it's NOT subs..) because addiction specialist has a "formula" and if you're NOT honest you will suffer and be under-medicated.

Hey Schuylaar, its just kind of hard to let them know just how asinine I was taking over 100 # 10's a day along with 1 to 2 100mg fentynal patches every couple to few days. They r going to think Im some kind of animal or something, that kind of useage was only this past year & half or so. The last 20 yrs. was maybe 10 or so a day & the patches only came about 2 & half yrs ago when I had cancer. Actually when I quit slamming over 25 yrs. ago I had been counseling addicts through some of the churches, but when I developed this problem a yr ago decided this was like the pot calling the kettle black because I was out of control & stepped down & was lucky enough to get into that 3 day program I just went through. I really don't want to stay on this the rest of my life. I quit done & figure I can quit this, but I don't think I can quit this soon especially talking about wanting to catch a buzz.

I feel for you man I broke my back and a doctor prescribed me 90 4mg dilaudid every 20 days for 8 months then said he could no longer give me that script and dumped me cold turkey, I immediately switched to heroin for 2 years. I ended up finding a great doctor that prescribed me 4 8mg subs twice a day starting off and slowly tapered off over a year and a half. I even had to go back on them for 2 months the winter I got off them cause it was too cold and the Dr totally understood where I was coming from and put me back on them. I never felt high on Subs ever, just made me functional I have been clean now since 2008 and ended up getting 9 epidural injections that control my pain for the most part. Good luck on the Dr hunt man there are good ones out there that really do care about their patients.

this is very dangerous when a doctor cuts you cold turkey..he has responsibility to you and IMO there should be some sort of action you can take to penalize doctors for doing this..because it's the norm rather than the exception for them.

I hear ya blazin its no fun all the eps & cuts they do & put u on dilaudids or demorals or whatever then pull the rug out from under u. That's what they did to me but I got of them cause it may have made me relapse back into slamming again so I stayed with the fentynal & hydros cause I could function on that no matter what, still live in pain but WTF theirs lots in pain. I wont know anything til next wed. or so.

I was taking 160mg Oxy for two years and one day my Doc. took me off. I went from living to dead stop. They would not do anything to help me, even when I was puking blood on there floor. They dont care any more. The DEA is putting screw to them to not write these scripts any more. Its becoming a sad place when cops are in charge of our medical team. They removed me from my pain management to give me a better quality of life they said.

From when they took me off of it to now, I lost my job because I was throwing up all the time, I cant work, and I sleep or dont sleep a lot. Cannabis has helped but its not a cure all for the pain I have.
I am moved doctors and such. A year and a half ago my life was fine. Then I had my life pulled out from me on the drop of a hat.

I have pulled my self up a little bit, but the pain and migraines are what kills me some days.

Bottom line, doctors suck.

I had a pain doctor accept me as a patient while he was in the process of losing his license due to insurance fraud and didn't give me any notice about it. Motherfucker didn't even show up to my last appointment. No referral to a new dr, I couldn't get my records. It fucking sucked. If he was just looking to get as much money as possible in the interim I would have still seen him because I was in agony constantly at that point, but just being dumped like that was BULLSHIT!

Ya its real bull shit.
I was doing great for a while. They even had a plan to remove one of my femur bones. But canceled at the last minute.
Now I am back to walking with a cane. So I hope this new doctor will hear what I have to say.
