we got rid of the penny, but yeah we have 1$ & 2$ coins not bills

Only remember that cause I used to hang out in montreal every weekend.
Note to all: it is better to exchange your money in the US PRIOR to going to Canada. They don't like to give change for foreign currency. :) At least in my experience that was the case. ;)
 
Ive never heard of such a thing in my life. The only Canadian currency I've ever seen is the occasional Canadian penny given out as change.

bullshit , any bank will do it i know i live across from michigan perhaps you just had a cranky pants bank teller
