...this was not an isolated incident. You can't join the military and fight for what you want to fight for; you become employed by politicians and therefore you are indeed fighting for them. I am not in, nor will be in any armed forces- if you decide to act as a human being as this guy did then you may very well end up incarcerated for having a heart. Most people who join, I assume, mean well but the forces are not what they appear to be as we have all (almost all) learned recently.

Did we nuke Japan in a time of war? You bet we did in an effort to bring the long bloody war to an end and prevent the death of 100,000's of American lives. The world saw how devastating the weapon was and hasn't used one in anger since. But what does that have to do with joining the service or telling me what freedoms you would have without a strong military? Yeah, you thought I forgot you didn't answer that.
