if your in a medical state you need to get approved. then you really have nothing to worry about. i was growing at a friends place cargiving for them and another friend that did not live there and it got raided by the feds. the one person i was caregiving for owned the place. some one else staying with her did something really stupid. the feds and cops seen my grow and the whole 9 yards. i was not there at the time. i got word of a bunch of police and federal agents had the place surrounded. i called to see if everything was ok and they wanted to talk to me. the agent wanted a key for the room to look for the person staying there. the person i was caregiving for had a spare key hidden because they were legally allowed to access the room. i had about 20 plants in different stages. they told me on the phone they were not worried about it. they just wanted to key from me but they got the spare from my friend that had it hidden. just took a while to find. medical laws saved us there. although the one person that they were looking for was found hiding somewhere in the house got taken away. it was nothing to do with marijuana, the patients that owned the place, or myself. all medical and legal so what could they do really? yeah they're feds and can bust medical patients, but i have yet to find a case of feds busting someone within legal limits especially a small grow. all the people that get busted are usually breaking the law somehow. a lot of times it's from controlled buys. people, usually young kids and/or trash wearing wires for local drug enforcement agencies which they do because the agents scare them into thinking they get a lesser sentence when it's not even up to them, it's up to the prosecutor for what to charge you with. then it's up to the judge from there. i have a friend who has been busted several times before medical laws. even raided once i think he had a quarter pound. he barely got in any trouble because in a lot of towns they have sympathetic judges that are lenient. my friend rarely seen spent time in jail but he also got bail right away each time from his parents. most of the time the judge will just give you fines and community service. if you get that, dont fuck it up. i went through it once many years ago. i never got raided but sold to a snitch. 4 year felony. i was pretty young at the time. they tried to scare the hell out of me but they're all talk. just make sure you keep bail money handy.
