Hey bro's

as you may know this is my first grow. I have the kind of mind that will always find something to worry about. Plants are doing well already showing sex and buds 10 days into flower and nice and green. So I was wondering has anyone been or know of anyone whose been raided. Ive got one lamp and AM NOT planning on anymore but as I said I worry. Any input appreciated. Thanks

It happens in the RIU community from time to time.
The only rule you need to learn about growing whether you do it well or grow like shit.
DON'T TELL ANYONE!
Not your buddy, not your girlfriend, no one should know.
Now I know that's not always possible, but do your best not to tell a soul.
If you follow that and are not doing anything stupid (like putting the plants in your front window) you will be just fine.

Being raided has a lot to do with how smart you are and very little to do with the unlawfulness of what you're actually doing. A good friend of mine got raided because she was buying from a guy whose texts/calls were being tracked. Their conversation, supposedly, led to the cops showing up at my friends house.. and she doesn't grow and never buys more than an eighth at a time. But, she should have known the guy she was buying from was sketchy. Basically, don't buy in public places, don't tell a soul about your grow op, and don't sell..... being paranoid doesn't help though. Just be smart about it... that's all the advice I can give lol

With time, the anxiety will pass and you will stop worrying about every helicopter and siren you hear. Just use common sense and don't get lazy.

Definately I know dealers who sell out of there mums house. Not wholesale mind you and not just weed. My place overlooks a kinda carpark wheres loads of people walk to get to different places.Theres these shady looking dudes who I always feel somehow know. Ive got no light leaks but faint fan noise from right outside my window nearest exhaust which can only be heard in the dead of night. I know they are dealers coz I used to buy from one and I always feel theyre looking up here. Admittedly they're probably plus they are no organise crime outfit. Basically saying got the keeping mum thing down is selling really so bad:-|

if your in a medical state you need to get approved. then you really have nothing to worry about. i was growing at a friends place cargiving for them and another friend that did not live there and it got raided by the feds. the one person i was caregiving for owned the place. some one else staying with her did something really stupid. the feds and cops seen my grow and the whole 9 yards. i was not there at the time. i got word of a bunch of police and federal agents had the place surrounded. i called to see if everything was ok and they wanted to talk to me. the agent wanted a key for the room to look for the person staying there. the person i was caregiving for had a spare key hidden because they were legally allowed to access the room. i had about 20 plants in different stages. they told me on the phone they were not worried about it. they just wanted to key from me but they got the spare from my friend that had it hidden. just took a while to find. medical laws saved us there. although the one person that they were looking for was found hiding somewhere in the house got taken away. it was nothing to do with marijuana, the patients that owned the place, or myself. all medical and legal so what could they do really? yeah they're feds and can bust medical patients, but i have yet to find a case of feds busting someone within legal limits especially a small grow. all the people that get busted are usually breaking the law somehow. a lot of times it's from controlled buys. people, usually young kids and/or trash wearing wires for local drug enforcement agencies which they do because the agents scare them into thinking they get a lesser sentence when it's not even up to them, it's up to the prosecutor for what to charge you with. then it's up to the judge from there. i have a friend who has been busted several times before medical laws. even raided once i think he had a quarter pound. he barely got in any trouble because in a lot of towns they have sympathetic judges that are lenient. my friend rarely seen spent time in jail but he also got bail right away each time from his parents. most of the time the judge will just give you fines and community service. if you get that, dont fuck it up. i went through it once many years ago. i never got raided but sold to a snitch. 4 year felony. i was pretty young at the time. they tried to scare the hell out of me but they're all talk. just make sure you keep bail money handy.

being that cannabis is still against federal law, a medical card isn't the get out of jail card a lot of people like to think it is..

A lot of people think that med grows are fine as i have heard of police happening to be on a property and not caring so long as a rec is posted. I just wonder how like local pd would be to involve the feds for example like four plants in cali with rec posted etc...?

Growing, smoking, possession is illegal in the US. Don't ever think it's not and act accordingly. State medical cards simply provide the Feds with a convenient address list to door knock when their agenda changes and it's time to arrest.

I would rather take my chances and stay in stealth mode until all 50 states are onboard and the Feds join the party. Done correctly, no one is going to know you are growing four cannabis plants in your home.

You just have to prove it wasn't for sale but recreational. Legal or not . makes a big difference in sentencing. You gotta be ready for anything g

You won't get raided if you don't tell anyone -- that goes for both the police and other growers and dealers (who will burst your house to take your plants). And as long as you control the smell as well. Neighbours are notorious for phoning police because of an "odd smell."

i knew a dealer who got raided but thats because he would go around town wearing bullet proof vests and hand drugs out to people in very public places and was showing everyone his handguns, the guy was a moron.
you will be ok if you dont tell anyone
