The purplest of purple?

Well I hope the title sums up pretty much what this thread is about. Of course I have had some great GDP, Purple Urkle, Purple Nepal...etc but this strain I just got the other day tops the cake for purpleness. The strain is called, Nigerian Nightmare from the Pink House. Not much for recreational effect, but seems to be a higher CDx strain based on experience. I'm curious to know what the most natural purple colored herb you have encountered?

Dr. Greenthumbs big purps... Had a look of dark purple/black... But it had a bad taste and aweful stone...lol

Yeah this seems very similar then. It wasn't listed as a top shelve strain so I tried it out more on general curiosity than effect. Funny thing is I know there are people who would pay 20-25% more for this herb than a good green color flower just because it's purple. :?

The best purple I've had was Dutch passions blueberry circa 02'. Super taste quality and yield, but only lightly purple with red and blue hues on a light green background. The most purple stuff I had was my recent venture with cannaventures Purpleberry. Sounds like gr.thumbs big purple was similar. Weak and bad taste but black as night, really sad looking bud too.

My Dp blueberry looked similar to raider's but with crinkled leaf deformity and a bit more purple including purple stem. Actually what I call the two phenos purple stem and green stem. the green stem blueberry was a monster like raider's big girls up above, but no purple what so ever, great taste though.
Long story short blueberry is nice!

Sorry I never took pictures of the purple berry and I gave all of it away cause I did not like it, but I did keep my strongest male to use for crossing grape god and power kush. Ill try to get a thread going on that once the little guy grows nuts and blows a load of pollen all over the closet.

My little michigan lucky bag seed. guy at a record store called Wyatt earp records called me up and told me he got a bag seed in some of the best bud he'd ever smoked in his life and if i wanted it. i said hell ya.

wyatt purp was born.

people call it the sleep medicine. knock out punch to the temple. DO NOT SMOKE IN THE MORNING.

i know of one other bag seed of this that got popped from one of my batches but I've never actually seen or tasted it.

my cut is beginning to make its way around MI now. who knows where it will end up.

Another purple strain worth looking into is the purps indica cut. Supposed to have the grape aroma and flavor. Did grab some Kona sunset from gooeybreeder. Looks really purple.
Here's the description: A very happy high with a wonderful taste of the islands tinged with a wonderful sweetness from the Dark Cross male which also gives the buds their stunning color.
Dark Cross was created from my Zinn with my Lava and also my 30 year old Mom Gooey. Believe it has Hawaiian in it too. Hope to pop them soon.

An accidental breeding strain with Buddha seeds purple kush auto crossed with a male royal purple kush from emerald triangle. I was gone out of town leaving my fiance with the ladies. And she was suppose to remove it but that didn't happen. It hit the bad looking pheno in the Buddha pack, but the royal purple kush came thru in potency a huge deal, but the color, smell and taste came from Buddha. Not a good cross but very appealing. Peace

Generally yes they are less potent than other strains, occasionally you will happen upon a strong purple strain but its very few and far between
