Do you prefer micro growing, or is it all you have access to?

Allow me to clarify..

So far, with this being my first ever grow attempt, I feel an appreciation for micro grows welling up inside of me. Compared to growing in a tent or a dedicated room, micro growing seems way more intriguing. I am wondering if I would prefer another method, but I don't have the experience necessary to adequately gauge such a thought. I can say for certain that I love the idea of being able to do this without raising suspicion from anyone who may happen to enter my grow environment.

I really appreciate the extra effort it takes to construct an adequately stealth PC or cabinet out of cases you may own or storage containers you might own or can cheaply purchase.

What's the word I'm looking for...?

Ingenuity. That's what really gives me a micro hard on.. Uhh.. Anyway, I love seeing all the different stealth techniques some of you come up with. It really gets my mind working as to how I can make an even stealthier grow op.

Do some of you just prefer micro grows, or is a micro grow just the quickest and most cost effective way to growing a personal stash?

If you smoke as much as I do brother, a micro-grow just won't cut it.

My suggestion if you have the room is to grow in a tent and build a micro-grow as a hobby/experimentation.

I've been smoking free for awhile. So it wasn't to save me cash. It's just something I wanted to do for me. I have thought about a tent but went the stealth route for my own protection. But since I've started I've realized the green thumb and construction love in myself.

I'm curious to know how your smoking habit compares to mine. I have been herb-free for 2+ months. It blows. When I do have herb, I go through about 1/8 a week. An ounce a month and I would be GOLDEN!

But, I can see how a micro-grow would be more in the realm of hobby/experimentation. I guess I'm just really into that aspect of it. I will have a room/tent someday.. That is when I move to a more friendly part of the country. < 2 years.

Protection is certainly a must. No matter what I do next, it will be stealth... I'm thinking hidden room behind a bookshelf. I've always wanted to do that.

- The bud I can buy from friends is a total crapshoot and they tend to lie to me
- I had a very small budget
- I move around a lot so I need to be able to move my plants if need be
- I only wanted to grow 1-2 plants at a time - not interested in selling, just smoking and knowing I'm getting some dank shit lol
- I started growing when I lived with a friend who was totally NOT cool with me smoking period.. she would flip if she knew I was growing
- So far not a single person has noticed! (other than the 3 people that know)

I can identify with all of these reasons. The first one was hard to finally realize. I actually had to convince my significant other to be cool with it. I am quite the salesman she says. I must be. I had to train her for a while, but I was also in the military, so I couldn't grow anyway.

Oh, and buying from "friends"... I've lost my money twice thanks to so-called friends. The herb scene FUCKING BLOWS around here. I'm dry and this is the only way. Wifey is convinced it's the safest way too.. thanks to my salesmanship. Although, I truly do believe that it is the safest method for me to obtain herb.

You can get about an ounce of weed from a space about the size of a computer PC about every 8 weeks. This requires tying the plant down to get that... I'm a very heavy smoker when it comes HID bud from the bigger grows. But I find the fluroscent flowered bud from my giant bloom box, is more then sufficient for me to smoke all I like. My giant bloom box was bunk bed I converted into a bloom box. I also think (I should say, know for fact actually) that fluro bud is much more potent, tasty and medically applicable then HID bud.

It's good to hear that one can grow that much in a PC case. Obviously, it takes some experience to reach maximum efficiency. I'll be growing in roughly 6 cubic feet, so I can see that filling the bill for me.

It's interesting to hear you say that fluorescent bud is more potent. I have no experience with any grow light yet, but I'm excited to see what my CFL setup can do. Do you use only fluorescent now? Have you tried LED?

I grow stealth because it's all I have access to. If I had my own house, I'd have an entire room in the basement or a closet dedicated to growing several plants, which would also be stealth.

I've found that for now, growing stealth gives me a lot of "do it yourself" experience and forces me to come up with some pretty creative and out of the box ideas and solutions to problems. It's also easier to control who knows about a stealth grow (cabinet that's filled with server equipment and locked: what's that? none of your business) and I prefer it this way because of how apartment maintenance can randomly show up at any given time with me not in my apartment.
