How well would it grow in this area?

An area that was recently flooded which resulted in a lack of vegetation. High amount of tree cover from light which just lets a breathable amount of light through the canopy. High in skeeters, and hard access.

first of all, fuck mosquitos. lots to consider here. my first question is, what are the chances it will get flooded again? that could make or break it

I'll risk the flood, because in the place I want to go it's pretty convenient because it has segregated a portion of land in the area that nobody would ever go

Go for it and tell use how you did.

Mine this year are in the same type of place they are 5 feet tall now and still not even in flower, the bugs like skeeters don't hurt them just you lol but I cut 2 trees down just little ones to open it up for a little more sun

>>>Poor soil in need of serious amending plus lack of sunlight=lots of work for little return.

I'd look somewhere else.:leaf:

I wouldn't call the soil poor. I would actually think the area is kind of good because all of the space for growth. It looks like all the small plants got flooded away, so I figure there's more space for weed.

To understand where and how to grow good plants, one must first understand native soils.

Once you have identified your soil type, then you can condition it for optimal growing.

honestly? it sounds like a terible place to grow. you need to find a beter spot. its only ten months till you plant(u allready missed this year) take pics and post of the flood plain in da forest i can use a good chuckle! peace
