Here is a tool to see what you will be paying for health care in just a few months....If people are having a hard time putting gas in there car now wait till your new monthly health care bill shows up every month....This is only for people between the ages of 19-64....

Go ahead and use the calculator even though you don't live in oregon, I would like to know how people here feel after you find out how good of a deal you will be getting....

My monthly cost is going to be 580.00 per month...and that is for just one person...

If I could I would but I can't....There is a different kind of IRS fine for me...For someone that is poor it would be cheaper to pay a fine, but the fine for me will be 2.5% of my income until they get what they want....

The fine for poor people will only be 96.00 for the year for the first two years then that will go up after BarryO leaves office to about 700-800 dollars per year or more....

there is no fine for poor people, actually. might want to bother getting the facts straight since this is your thread.

my rate is about the same, my wife's insurance would be cut by more than half though.

Sorry to hear that you'll be letting them take your money. I think I'll just not participate. When somebody takes money without the owners consent, it's stealing, right?

if that's stealing, then you benefiting from programs without helping to foot the cost is too.

That could be true in some instances if that's what was happening, but I don't think it is.

However if that were true and I was "stealing", then those that willingly pay for the "bad programs" are responsible for the results of those programs. I can't support the DEA or bombs for foreign babies. Why do you support that?

Why do you define stealing differently when an individual steals from you and then deny it is stealing when a group of individuals steals from you ?

Likewise , its not stealing if I hold you up at gunpoint and take all your belongings as long as what I do with it is beneficial to someone else.

Buck...

I think you and me are not on the same page when we think who is poor...If you make less than 9500.00usd then there is no fine...If you make 9501.00 then there is a fine....So I guess you are referring to people that are flat broke and I was thinking about people that are poor...only a one dollar difference....

So, basically, you're looking at penalties of approximately the following at the following income levels:
  • Less than $9,500 income = $0
  • $9,500 - $37,000 income = $695
  • $50,000 income = $1,000
  • $75,000 income = $1,600
  • $100,000 income = $2,250
  • $125,000 income = $2,900
  • $150,000 income = $3,500
  • $175,000 income = $4,100
  • $200,000 income = $4,700
  • Over $200,000 = The cost of a "bronze" health-insurance plan
The IRS will collect the penalty-tax, a fact that will no doubt further enrage those who hate Obamacare. But here's some more good news for those folks:The IRS will not have the power to charge you criminally or seize your assets if you refuse to pay. The IRS will only have the ability to sue you. And the most the IRS can collect from you if it wins the suit is 2X the amount you owe. So if you want to thumb your nose at the penalty-tax, the IRS won't be able to do as much to you as they could if you refused to pay, say, income tax.By the way, the following folks will be exempt from the penalty-tax:
  • Those who make less than $9,500
  • Employees whose employers only offer plans that cost more than 8% of the employee's income
  • Those with "hardships"
  • Members of Indian tribes
  • Members of certain religions that don't pay Social Security tax, such as Amish, Hutterites, or Mennonites
And, of course, Obamacare isn't free. So, whether you pay the penalty or not, you're going to have to pay a lot of other taxes to pay for it.

That could be, but I think you have to sign up for welfare to get medicaid....some young people might be to proud to sign up for welfare...Then they get fined I guess or there will be a run on the welfare system....

I don't think it is going to be as simple as you think....but will see..

Do you not know how many people are eligible for Medicaid and not signed up for it? Millions.

I have come to one conclusion about Obama Care, it was not intended to fix anything. There is a strategy, I forget its name, but even if I did know it, I would still have to explain it, so here it goes. If you have a goal that is at present unreachable, how do you reach it? Make some changes that make what your goal is more palatable to the masses. Enter Obama Care. This is so fucked up I can't think it isn't intentional. The goal, single payer. Which oddly enough, I think would be better than Obama Care. I still don't see how a vet can with nearly 100% success rate open up a dog and fix her. This costs less than $100. Yet, if you want to get an in-grown toe nail cut out, they send your insurance company a bill for $1400 and you get to pay about $300.
