Just started putting everything together for the next grow. The panels should be here on Tuesday and then everything can come together. Its 6 - 3gal buckets plumbed together with 1.5" ABS. For air its an Eco Air 5 @80Watts driving 6 large air stones. Ill go into more detail on the panels when they show up and I get a chance to check them out but they are 2 x 1200W panels using 5W chips. Right now the clones are in a smaller 6 pot set up under two 300W triband LED panels only turned on half each until they start to take off.

Subbed up icon, I enjoy the undercurrent system- interested in how 3 gal buckets will work, I use em for mums but always thought the low capacity (~2 gal max) would make it a hassle... but in a RDWC!? maybe not!! you running a central res or just topping off/adjusting straight in the buckets?

great thinking bruv

I think the key with the smaller buckets will be enough air flow to the the roots which is why I went pretty overkill with the Eco Air 5. Im planning on topping off a few times a week and then flushing every other week. On my last system I had a tube for checking the water level but I think it was just another opportunity for algae to grow so Ill just be checking from the first pot and then filling from there. The undercurrent system was fairly easy to build and only had one small leak when I tested it so now that its all tightened up Im pretty excited to get it up and running. The lights should be here tomorrow and hopefully the tent is here today.

The top blackdog you linked to I can't find its 500x500x120mm. But the 460x460x120 can be found.

These look like some pretty decent lights though. Can't wait to see how they do. How many square feet do you plan on covering for those 6 plants?

The tent is 4 x 4' so that's going to be the max and I think it should fill up pretty full.

Got one of the lights today, the other should be here tomorrow. Couldn't help myself and put everything together. I'm pretty impressed with the light overall. The quality seems good and its very solid. There are no on off buttons which I like since it reduces a point of failure. Its pretty damn intense and I cant imagine what two are going to look like but I'm excited to see :bigjoint:

when you put them in together I would stagger them so its like this
__________
...............
.....X........
.........X....
_________

Those sites say they should be good for a 4x4 by themselves so I'd try to get a little more even coverage in there. Just a thought though.

The blackdog I believe they are cloning says 595 watt actual draw but the ebay link says 720watts.

I'd like to see one of those on a Kill A Watt to really know what its pulling.

Subbed and excited to see this bad boy set up come together.

That's an awesome pump BUT it noisy as hell and get very hot, including the manifold. The short piece of flex tube expands then pops off, so get a clamp

Just transplanted all the clones from the small box to the new tent. 4 of them look good, the other two are weak but hopefully they come around. Next time I plan on cloning them under LED light from the get go so there's less shock. Everything looks really good and Im pretty pumped for the grow. I plan on updating it once a week unless people have questions or comments along the way. I'm hoping odor control should be under control with the carbon filter and during flowering Ill run a 3500mg/hr ozone generator in the grow room and another in the house.

IMHO they are too small to be fed from under via bubbles.

I compensated by keeping them in the cloner longer then hand watering several times a day, until I see roots popping out the sides/bottom of the net pot lids.

In my HOT5 tent (to be retrofitted for LED tubes) I am using Hydro Halo Rings, which I find to be the most efficient method to max root growth/health

See my thread to learn more about it.

They work so well, I plan to use them in place of my wc bubble system in my LED tent

That's what Im leaning toward. I know the two are definitely good to go and have continued growing under the new lights but the others are adjusting still.
