ok so ill put half a tea spoon in some warm water let it cool down i dont want to over do itTeaspoon per gallon sounds about right, I usually put a little less in if I'm using it. I've never had to heat it up to dissolve, usually just add warm water then give it a bit of shake and let it cool down. I'm sure you didn't heat it up when you add it to the bath, did you?

how do we know whether it is a deficiency or a lock-out?
They may need more care than just some Magnesium.... or not.
No way to know if he doesn't tell us his pH and what he's feeding them and the soil they are in...
could be as simple as too much feed, a deficiency from inbalanced feed, or could be lock-out due to acidic soil or the pH of the water....?
