this guy isnt who you want to be getting advice from. organic milk and water will cause mold and other bugs to the milk while it rots in your soil.

Go buy some Azamax or neem oil and do it right....... a milk solution is not a broad killer in any sense (as Azamax and neem are).

For Thrips go with Spinosad (Monterey Garden flying Insect spray) it works for Thrips very well. They are devilish destructive little monsters and they fly. Trust me.

the fact that you actually think that words on a computer screen can some how tell you how a person acts its truely stupid. if you were going to thank me it wouldnt have been so private. people only go private messages for a couple of reasons. not an asshole but a side of logic, deductive reasoning is how i make sure I never get anything but happyness. i never suggested a video clip.

They are a species of thrips. I use a two step process.

Azamax is an ultra refined neem oil....so either is fine. I added neem oil to my watering every other watering for about 10 days. On the same days that I watered with neem, I carefully washed the leaves with a homemade insecticidal soap (water, Dr. Bronner's soap, clove oil, rosemary oil). I didn't see any more after the first treatment, but I find it is always a better idea to treat two or three times instead of allowing stragglers a chance to repopulate.

The soap helps the oils stick and both clove oil and rosemary oil are known to kill thrips. A multi product approach is always a better idea than using stronger and stronger chemicals. Pyrethrum and Spinosad are unnecessarily strong chemicals for this bug.

Neem is not systemic so it will only help what's in the soil, not on the plant themselves. For mild cases, insecticidal soap (I use Safers) works well but you'll have to apply multiple times to control or eliminate the population. They make a pyrethrum spray that also works well- it's also mild if applied lightly. Doktor Doom also has pyrethrum bombs that can be released in the room.
