My wife has or is experiencing most of those problems.

The meds are a bandaid and most likely will not fix anything.

I know it is hard for you but imagine being the significant other to someone experiencing this. Watching them go through it, taking them to doctors 2-3x per week and knowing you are completely unable to make them feel better.

One day pretty ok, the next day taking them to the er do to oding on benzos

Fucking sucks.

Been dealing with this for twelve years now. I can say it has steadily got worse as the level of prescriptions increased.

The thing with this is their intent is not to cure you. If you felt better you wouldn't have to come back paying even more.

all i can say was i was on meds once 8 years ago, and i remember feeling GOOD, like getitng up and actually being able to go outside, and for the last 7 years i have struggled trying to do it the natural, and its getting worse, so maybe shes on the WRONG type of meds, because the ones i had when i was younger were non habit forming medications.
I dont think you get the severity of how fucking horrible it is not being able to leave your house, ive tried everyones natural homeopathic fuckiing bullshit, and i want ym fucking life back not to seem harsh but im sick of everyone telling me ill be okay, and that i need to work through it because ive tried my fucking hardest and i CANNOT. i just cant do it anymore mentally or physically. Its literally ruining my life, i cannot go to the grocery store without having an attack. I've never been a depressed person but lately thoughts of suicide have come to mind, because im getting depressed that my natural way ISNT working.

I cant live,
i literally cannot leave my house . everyday i am pushed to the test of my strength and frankly my strength and will power has RUN OUT. i want to feel normal.
I dont want to feel like im in a dream state 24/7 and cannot breathe and have to check my pulse to make sure my heart is still beating.

As for the type of medication here they wont prescribe like habit forming meds, they will prescribe a drug that takes over amonth to start working no quick fix 30 mins high off your ass drugs.
heres a more extensive list
im done feeling like this man. seriously. i dont think anyone can blame me for trying something new obviously the natural shit isnt working i have a sickness i have a chemical imbalance that cannot be fixed by cognitive behavioral therapy

well i had to try the natural way and cognitive behavioral therapy, as i dont really agree with medications, but it seems not ot help so im going to med side now
I understand the resistance to meds but I have a friend who lives with bipolar and he is a totally different person now. Before he got on meds he was always in trouble, self medicating and couldn't hold a job. The dude was explosive.

It took about a year to get his meds straight but now you wouldn't even know he has bipolar and he is actually excelling in life now. It was a rough road for him and it took trying several different meds but I really don't think he would be alive today without them.

There is no need to live with the feelings you have when there is help out there. It takes patience though and talk therapy in conjunction was important for him as well.

Needless suffering is a waste of life. imo..

well i see your point but just like you had to try meds you have to try alternative routes of fixing the issue and thats what i did for the last 7 years.
I can hold a job so that much my life is not messed up, but i know what you mean. i just chose to give other things a try/chance first

One thing I have learned on this subject is that weed and especially alcohol tend to exacerbate many of the symptoms you speak of Sunni.

While pot may help to alleviate some symptoms such as nausea and sometimes heart palpitations. It often increases anxiety under the wrong circumstances. Both pot and alcohol interfere with the way many psych meds work as well. Make sure you are completely honest with your doctor cuz some meds work better with the weed.

Alcohol never helps from my experience. Which has become quite extensive over the past years unfortunately. I bet she has been on 40 or more different drugs. Some worked for a while, some not at all. Many with side effects worse than the symptoms.

Just remember you are not alone in this. There are other ppl. in similar situations. I am sure it doesn't feel that way though.

Again, I hope you find something that works for you.

and pot does NOT help with heart palpitations if anything ti worsens it, in MY experience MJ doesnt work one bit for my anxiety problems only heightens them , doesnt matter what strain, i only smoke on good days or if im not going anywhere

Even one glass can be too much. Seriously. I know it sucks but it is what I have witnessed. What is "not much" to one person can be entirely too much for another. Exact words of one of the half dozen psychiatrists she has seen.

she would always be ok while she was drinking. It was always over the next couple of days where the negative effects would show.

I want to emphasize that years ago, when she was off meds entirely. alcohol was less detrimental.

It was the combined effect of the meds and the alcohol that caused problems.

Sometimes the meds accumulate and then do more harm than good. A body detox is necessary sometimes to reevaluate your drug needs.

For the people here who said they have problems with IBS and heartburn etc, juicing has really helped me. I was getting pretty bad. One day, mad constipated, the next, spray! I went three weeks without a BM a couple of years ago. I did everything I could think of and nothing helped. Doctor wrote me a sript for some non effective garbage. I finally ate a bottle of dulcolax. After I started juicing twice a day and eating chia seeds, I have been 100% normal and my stool is perfect. Not too hard, not too soft. What a joy.

A friend of mine's father was visiting here from a ME country a few years ago. He called me to check him out because he was having some back pain. I found nothing wrong and recommended some x rays. Turns out his kidneys were failing. In 4 days he ran up a $101k hospital bill and they told him he would be on dialysis for the rest of his life. He went home and the doctors there did more tests, to find out WHY his kidneys were failing. Three weeks later he was completely cured. Had he stayed here, he would of been on dialysis forever. There is no money in a cure, only treatment, is the US philosophy on healthcare. Fucking greedy bastards.

Yup, We had to admit her to an inpatient program for close to a week once. It was fucking horrible for her. I felt just awful about it.

I am glad he got better.
