Hey guys,
This is my first grow / DWC / Liberty haze, supposedly. Veged them with Sensigrow. I started in 5 gallon bukets, reglular Lowes buckets. I was having a hard time with the water temp. My ventalation sucks, there is none, other than a few fans w/central air. I'm using the old frozen water bottle plan which I had to change about every hour. Then I switched my buckets out with 5 gallon Rubbermaid coolers which actually keeps the temperature under 70 for a few hours. As soon as it hits 70 I toss in a bottle and it gets down to about 65. After they started developing some fairly good roots, about week 3 or 4, I noticed the old root slime problem. It was pretty bad. I believe I was letting the water reach about 73 then. Anyway, I lowered the water temp and started a H202 regiment, pretty much daily, also started using Gold Range Zone weekly as well. Some people say those 2 are compatable some say their not. No matter, it appears to have worked because the roots are very nice and white now and the leaves are all a beautiful dark green. This is now week 17. (Just saying that makes me think they were in veg too long... ) IS there a too long to veg? I just hope they don't get too big
that's kinda scary.
Well anyway, I just put them into flower this week. I'm flushing, but from what I'm seeing as the feeding schedule
there's no flush in between veg and flower and no gradual feed either like I see alot of people say you need to do. Here it just goes straight from 2oz of grow to 2oz of bloom. I'm only using SensiGrow/Bloom and Big Bud. I also add about 100ppm of CalMag weelkly along with the H202 and zone ofcourse. Oh, and I just started using RO'd water about 2 weeks ago. The ppm of my water went from about 235 to 15!! And PHing the water is so much easier. It was running at about 7.5 befor RO and I always had to use PH down even with PH Perfect Veg and Bloom. After I started using RO'd water, when I added the nutes, the water was a perfect 5.5!! What a world of difference. I just hope the mid flush doesn't hurt. What do you guys think? I'll probably try exactly what that schedule says on my next grow. Unless of course this grow completely rocks!! All though I couldn't imagine that on my first shot. Any comments?? LOL I started this whole post to ask about the flush in between Veg and Nute and ended writing a novel. Sorry about that! Any comments would be awesome!
