Use training techniques such as top, FIM, supercrop, and/or LST. Each has it's pros/cons and the method you use also depends on how branchy the strain is, and what stage of growth it's in. You will find many names and labels people make up such as "Uncle Ben's Topping Technique" or "Mainlining" but it's all the same shit.

For example... you might top a plant when it's young, LST the 2 main tops until the next lower node catches up, FIM for 16 tops in mid veg, LST into a SCRoG net, supercrop during flower stretch.

The important part is anytime you make a node the highest point on the plant, it will become dominant. So, if you remove a top or tie it down lower than other nodes, those other nodes that are now the highest point will get the auxins that drive growth and become new colas.

Keep the light close & the fan blowing hard.I got the opposite problem, short & to bushy.
I'm trying to get mine taller next time I'll run the light higher & I think I'll get more weight.

I love the results of fimming and lst'ing. fim one top to make two...as it stretches, lst it....watch fimmed top curl up towards light... once those stretch out, fim them. those two tops are now four. lst tht fucker. maybe even use pinch/twist method( more stress than lst). the point is to create tops and let light penetrate deeper into plant.
