Coffee Can Filter

I used a 4" coffee can you could use a larger one if you want to. Cut the bottom out with a can opener. (pic 1)

I got a peice of gutter guard from the hardware store about $1.70. (pic 2)

Cut enough to fold around can. (pic 3)
Fold around can. You will need to cut slots about every 2". After folding around can you can tap with a hammer to compact and remove sharp edges. (pic 4)

Add hose, alum. tape, and hose clamp. (pic 5)

Hang up and attach to fan. (pic 6)

Thanks, I had the basic idea but my wife refined it and made it much cheaper than the way I had planned it. She says I must give credit, where credit is due. So thank you brilliant, wonderful wife!

I'm using a 6" blower with 300cfm of air flow. You could go smaller I had heat problem from the 400 watt light in 3-1/2' x 3-1/2' x 7' cab. that I made.

I have the fan in the cab. you can kinda see it in (pic 6 of post 1). it sucks the air out of the cab. and blows it thru a 4" dryer hose out of the cab. and out a window on the second floor.

Still no smell??? I wanna make something similar but i wanna attach 2 of these coffee filters drill holes (1/4inch) like 50 of em on each can, cap one end, cut the bottom out of the other so they attach, wrap it in that gutter guard, and then insert 2 or 3 of those bags to wrap around the diameter of the coffee cans, while the guard holds it in place and reinforces it.......i wonder if this will be have enough surface area to allow 400 cfm to pass through.......if not I'll probably spend a few bucks and buy a sheet of sheet-metal and probably roll one of my own dimension and length and drill the shit outta it.

Still no smell, and I just harvest 3 40"+ plant with 15 1/2 oz total.

Activated carbon is non-toxic.
