Here's my BCxGolden mix and the love of my life, George :)

This is the other love of my life, Sammy. He's an ex racehorse and as crazy as can be.

And here's my beautiful old kitty, Pepper:

I also have a Leopard Gecko and a Ball Python but don't have very good pics of them. I love my pets more than anything! :D

Damn. George looks like a great dog.

He really, really is. Best dog a girl could ask for. I got him as a 4 week old pup (along with his brother, whom my friend adopted) originally as a foster pup from the shelter but fell in love... I just HAD to keep him... and it's the best decision I ever made. :D He's as sharp as a tack and I swear we can read each other's minds. I really don't know what I'm going to do without this guy... I've never met a dog half as cool as he is.

Photo0170.jpgThis is Lily, when we bought our bull mastiff who died last year the breeder gave us his sister as she was the runt of the litter and was going to have her destroyed. At first they were in separable until Lily had her first season she then attacked boo our mastiff and from then on every time they set eyes on each other they fought, we decided to re home Lily but my daughter wouldn't have it she said she would move out and take Lily with her and she did. Lily and my daughter have had a special bond and Lily is now nine, unfortunately Lily has just been diagnosed with lymphatic cancer and is living on borrowed time. Although she is not to bad at the moment as she's on steroids the vet says its a matter of time before she will need to be destroyed. My daughter is distraught and I dread the day Lily has to go, and now my daughter has children of her own who love Lily as much as she does it will be a sad day when her life ends and brother and sister will be re united in doggy heaven.:(

Oh I'm sorry that's so sad..I hope lily has more time then you guys think, she looks like a great dog. Maybe your daughter should get a puppy to make it easier for the kids.

She is a great dog she still guards when she's out in the garden and she still likes a run around with the football bless her but she does sleep a lot more and she won't eat her dog food she has to have chicken, liver, mince beef and she loves it when the kids share theirs with her lol. I think it will be a long time before they have another dog Lily is far to loved to replace.

Heres my princess Kush, she's a 14 month old red nose pit that I rescued when she was 2 months old, my neighbors had her and weren't feeding her and were beating her, so I kind of stole her lol, when I got her she was losing her hair, couldn't walk and tried to attack everyone that got next to her, she had a really bad infection and was on all kinds of meds for like 4 months ($!!!), now she's my best friend and is as healthy, happy, and loyal as can be, I love Kush <3
Good on you bro.You have a loyal friend for life now.
I agree with you, there's no such thing as a bad dog only bad owners.
Your neighbours should have nine types of sh*t kicked out of them for treating an animal as they did.

Mine's picture is in my avatar,he's a oversize doberman that has been spoiled all his life.
I made a mistake when he was young (he's 6 now)I left the light on at night for him and he got to like it to much.
I left it on to long,I found out (some vets say) that artifical light causes vitiligo a pigment problem it just causes some white spots.
We live together and have a good time usually.
We both overeat,we both on a diet.

It is unfortunate that dogs and humans do not have the same life span.
It is one of the saddest things ever to bury a best friend.

This really is a great thread.

I wanted to share a picture of the best dog I've ever had. His name was Murphy and he's been gone now for almost a year. He was around 12 years old when we lost him to cancer. I was truly devastated when he died, but if given the chance, I wouldn't change a thing...he had a much better life than if we'd never rescued him and I feel like my life was enriched sharing the time we had together.

Oh, also...the little one is Piper, she's a rat terrier. Never had a small dog until she came along and I didn't particularly care for little dogs, but she changed my mind on that.
