Still no real sign of buds after nearly 3 weeks in flower????

Hello,

After 2 weeks and 4 day from switching the lights onto 12/12 i still see no real signs of bud... I may be wrong as this is my first grow. But it seems that the plant is just no stop growing .. in height .. I have now had to tie a lot of the branches down including the top cola as she is nearly hitting the lights .... Is there something wrong? I am watering every 2 days and putting in nutes with every other water.

Maybe there not Females...

Thanks for that... That makes me feel better. I dont believe there are any light leaks.. I was in 18/6 for 3 weeks prior to switching to 12/12... I do believe this is a female but growing very slowly... or budding very slowly should I say. But what do I know as this is the first time I have ever tried this.

See the little White hairs...Female. Males will have a cluster there with little nutsacs.

This could likely be one of the reasons you're seeing very little bud formation yet. At 3 weeks, the plant is not mature so it will take a bit longer to show sex and start budding. I typically don't throw my plants into 12/12 until they show sex, and this usually happens for me around 35 days of veg. I start seeing flowers much sooner than 2 weeks.

Yup what brotherj said she wasnt mature enough to0 flower when you put her in , plus I would up the lights...

The change in light cycle alone encourages a plant to show its sex, unless its an auto, not how old it is. So, IMO your plant was plenty mature to go ahead and flower. Some strains just flower much slower than they veg. Your plant looks happy and healthy and seems to be working its way towards flowering. How long ago did you notice the hairs?

I've got a Liberty Haze that's 3 weeks into flower and looking similar, she's looking extremely sativa, u just have to be patient with some girls.

Well ... 3 weeks and two days since switching the lights to 12/12... a bit of progress but I would have thought id have more in the way of "bud" by now.. Having problems with height and having to tie down every night.. but seems to be working .. just..

Im pretty sure something is wrong but dont know what.... I really hope she produces something that I can smoke by Aug 15th as that is the day I go on hols to Morocco and everything has to be "out of sight".... hmmmm.

Just be patient, increasing the amount of darkness is not going to help it flower faster it will just hurt your yield.
They look fine, its not uncommon for a plant to take 2-3wks to start showing flowers.
