30% is incredible. I'd rather have that than freebies, but they throw in a ton of those too. I've got Jilllybean comin' my way.

I hit Chernobyl and Ripped Bubba.

The problem with the Sea of Seeds site - for me - is they don't identify the brands of the freebies. I placed one other order with them, but never used the freebies - I won't use anything anonymous. But yeah, 30% is reason enough.

Lol, people are so funny when it comes to freebies.
Wasn't sure how to link to his post, so, I copied it. According to GandalfdaGreen:

Here are the freebie breeders:
1. Auto Somango Fem from Advanced seeds
2. Auto Amnessia Fem from Green Label
3. Power Skunk from Kannabia
4. Sleestack x Skunk from DNA (2)
5. White Widow x White Widow from Dinafem
6. 7/8 Sour from Loud seeds (2)

I am pretty sure these are the breeders. There are three breeders from Spain. Kannabia, Advanced, and Dinafem. The others are Loud from CA and Green Label from Amsterdam. I think they are great freebies. I have a Power Skunk up right now. She's a week old and looks good. She was my first bean to crack too

Do you know if that WW is a fem? It doesn't say, but that's all Dinafem makes. Plus it's only a single rather than the usual 2 for regs.

Their freebies have been almost solid 9s for me.

I don't even like autos, but I got a Somango and some type of Jack that were great for being autos!

Most freebies are good or they wouldn't serve their intended purpose. People think the seeds are free so they must be garbage. Breeders offer their seeds up as freebies so people can try them. If I had a product that I wanted people to buy, it wouldn't make much sense to give away a junk version of it. All freebies that I have planted have germinated and grown just as good as purchased seeds. As a matter of fact, my LA Confidential, Silver LA, Goji OG, and Sour Diesel #2, were freebies from my last order, and the LA confidential and Silver LA kik ass. Haven't planted the others yet. I actually make my orders to maximize the number of freebies I get. Never after one particular strain too much, always usually order from the breeders that have the promo's going. Nothing like buying 10 seeds, getting 14 free.

I agree with you, bwest, and it makes sense for breeders to try to gain your business through the freebies. It has worked for me with Delicious and G13. The issue is, several of the freebies listed at seaofseeds are generic and don't even give a breeder. I haven't received my seeds yet, actually I'm still waiting for it to clear "processing", so maybe the breeder will be listed with the seeds when they arrive.

The one order I placed w/ SoS previously, the freebies were not identified by brand. They were placed in a small tube with 'auto mango', for instance, handwritten in marker on the capsule.

To bwest: your point is valid only if the breeder is made known. If you look at the site, they are not.

I had the same questions about the correct identities of the SoS freebies. So...... I went directly to the source and asked SoS in an email. The response I got BTW was lightning quick.

Here is the original listing of freebies on order confirmation:

FREE - Sleestack x Sk1 (x2)free11$0.00
FREE - Loud Seeds 7/8 Sour (x2)free21$0.00
FREE - WhiteWidow x WhiteWidow (x1)free31$0.00
FREE - Auto Somango (x1)free41$0.00
FREE - Auto Amnesia Fem (x1)free51$0.00
FREE - Black Domina x Super Skunk Fem (x1)free61$0.00

Here's a copy n paste of SoS's email response to my questions....

All are from a spanish breeder except loud seeds, All are fems except the 2x seeds which are regs On 31 May 2013, at 22:35, <xxxxxxxxxxxx.xxxxx> wrote: > Hi SoS, > > I placed an order with you that is currently shipped and tracked. So far so good. My question involves the complete ID of the freebie seeds. > > Only one freebie is identified with the breeder...Loud: 7/8 Sour. > > Are the other seeds generics? > > Also, a couple of the single seeds like the white widow and somango are not listed as fems. Are they reg seeds? I ask because generally when I get single freebies they are fems and if they are regs I get x2 seeds. I just want to make sure of their correct identities. > > Thanks for your attention.

I don't understand why the information on the site is so cryptic about who the breeders are. Why are they not prominantly displayed so you know who's genetics you're getting? I don't know if I like the new site, kinda weird and janky. Peace out.

A previous poster said an e-mail from SoS says they are from "a Spanish breeder'. Nothing about Amsterdam.

Agree. If not for the 30% discount, I would not order.

I also noticed, since I ordered 2 TGA strains, that the newer strains - Jack Skellington and J---- OG are not listed. Makes me wonder if the 30% is to sell off old product.
