I will be Temporary Cali resident: Med Rec?

Hello everyone:
Please excuse me if this has been discussed before. I am having trouble searching from my phone.
I will be a temp resident in Pasadena for the next 6 months and I need your advice on getting a Med Rec.
Questions:
If i get a DR rec, are there any compassion clinics that will let me in wo a CA DL? Y/N
Will an ID and a rec get me in?
Since I wont have a CA drivers license, i was thinking about an ID card BUT it says it takes 60 to receive. Do they not make them onsite? Do you need a proof of residence for an ID card?
Is it still worth getting a med rec in Venice Beach/ Santa Monica?

You're proof of residence for an ID card would be them mailing it to you. It usually comes within a few weeks.

You're either going to need some form of california ID or some proof of residence to get into most dispensaries. As far as getting your medical rec you'll be fine as is. I still havent switched over my ID so i use my power bill and my rec to get into places.

I'm sure there are clinics out there that will take it. Or go get a passport with a California address on it. You're best bet is once you get your rec...call dispensaries...let them know what you have and see if its okay. You'd be suprised at how many will probably let you in with your rec and just any piece of mail with a California address on it.

I just noticed that you'll be in Pasadena. Without a doubt, Pasadena is one of my top 3 fave cities in So cal. Pasadena is fantastic. It has everything you need. and is centrally located to everything.
