I am not a specialist on frozen trims but Nikka Ti who is, does not recommend to keep it more than a few weeks and it has to be ONLY sugar trims, if I remember well. How long of a window do we have to use the fresh trim, given that it is refrigerated to stay fresh?
That is one nice thing about fresh frozen; while it does get freezerburn etc. I am not in a huge rush to process it as it stays the same (frozen; albiet with the chlorofil issue) until I have some time to spin, or usually until my IWE stash runs low.
I know all of us who grow tend to loathe intensified amounts of work at harvest time. (I try to trim all my flowers myself to maximize both trim yield and quality in addition to flower quality). Is the fresh extraction another chore to add to the list at harvest? I am looking to avoid piling more steps on top of my already labor intensive flower harvest. Do you trim the plants immediately (manicure fresh?), harvest whole and slow dry then manicure later, etc.? Danks for your time and knowledge Frenchy.
Thc does not become cbds. Through decarboxilation. They are two completely different chemical compounds . There are lots of scientific articles on this. As well as the process. That is what everyone used to think. New science shows that THC becomes CBN, never CBD.
THCA coverts to THC and CBDA to CBD via decarboxylation. When THC degrades, it becomes CBN, not CBD. This is very important as many growers think they can up the CBD content via over-ripening or oxidation. While this might have benefits on terpenoids and such, it does not cause THC to convert to CBD. The THC degrades to CBN and thus loses potency.Where can I check that?
I stand corrected, THCA and CBDA will transform in CBN through an overdone decarboxylation process or just time degradation. Thanks for the info.Thc does not become cbds. Through decarboxilation. Most certainly Afghanistan and the Himalayas, the birth place of the plant and control of the silk road. The birth of Charas and the oldest hashish culture.Mr. Cannoli, where in your travels do you feel hashish has been studied the greatest it possibly could? With the different legalities of cannabis throughout the world how far do you believe we the human race are in grasping all the knowledge we can get and informing ourselves about hashish and all it's making?
You will get better at it my friend there is no doubt in my mind because you seems to really enjoy the experience and you have the love. What else would you need but good genetics.Ran another batch last nite frenchy....I sifted a couple grams of resin and pressed n rolled for 20-30 mins like before...let it hang out for a bit the gave it another round of pressing and heating...it seems to be bttr w more flavor and high....also I really enjoy the whole experience...ill nvr forget where I learned at and I can see myself only getting bttr at it...these small batchhes seem to b the way to go for quality...I've nvr known hash til now and I've been smoking weed my whole life..it really is a treat.

Dry and frozen freezer hash first and then ice wax. Freezer extracted hash can then be hand worked using your methods.
