you guys misread. that was a recipe for 5 gallons. so its 1tbs molasses per gal, i get unsulphured. there's no sulfur in there.

Im going to start adding kettle(if i can find) and alfalfa meal for a veg tea
There is still lots of Sulfur in Unsulphured Molasses. I found out the hard way.
And I read that right bro. 5tbsp in a 5gal tea, which breaks down to a tbsp/gal. That's wht I was thinking.
But look back at the three little birds read I told you too the other day on Molasses, and you'll see that the term "Unsulphured" in the Unsulphured Molasses refers only to how the Molasses was processed. There's Sulfur.

And you mean Nettle? If nah, what it kettle? Alfalfa meal I'll gotta get some more of too!

I have used a Tbsp of Molasses per Gal without seeing negative effect.

BTW, is there a use for which we prefer sulfured molasses? I did not think so,
but am new, and wanted to confirm...

Take care,

JD
Nope, we don't want Sulphured Molasses Java! Way to concentrated in S.
Here's the link to the three little birds and their bit on Molasses.
Posted in the thread linked to my sig "Organic Soil Help".
But Sulphured Molasses I've read is what you get from the first of second run of processing the molasses.
Unsulphured and Blackstrap are the most nutriotional of the Molasses types, and are the result of the 4th and 5th run of processing the molasses.
Might be 3rd and 4th, but either way, you don't want Sulphured! Reasons why are in the article :joint:

Thank you for the time S.

I probably spent more but I went ahead and got the Botanicaire
molasses when I got my array of nutes. (ProBlend, Cal Mag, Silica Blast,
and Liquid Karma with a few add-ons like myco stuff, Big Bloom, and Overdrive)

I see on that link that there are many minerals in molasses, with a fair
amount of Magnesium included.

Good stuff.

Welp I have been right in the middle of the field, doing about 2-3 tbsp per 4.5 gal brew... seems to be working well... I am bubbling for 48-72 hours and adding as I go... one at the beginning, one the second day, one the third.

Hay Altar,

The 1-2 Tblsp per Gallon that I had heard of and was referring to
was for a soil drench. I could easily see that a tea could need a lot less.

If it was still sweet when used, then this would not sound like a problem though...

JD

P.S. It is confirmed...I was quoting the label on my tub of "Strapped"
when I said 1-2 above. :0)

3lb guys are just saying their opinions. Everything else I have read on molasses just says sulfur dioxide is released into the air when 3rd round of process takes place. Sulphured molasses has sulfur.Sulphur is the British way of spelling sulfur. Unsulphured is the removal of sulfur into the air during processing. Sulfur dioxide is used to lighten the color. Dark organic black strap unsulphured does not have it.

I meant nettle. Ketlle is a pot on the stove. Spell check on me tablet.

The brer rabbit molasses I get does not have vitamin b. It has a little vitamin A and vitamin c.

The molasses that has vitamin b. They don't specify what type of vitamin b.
B1, b2, b3, b5, b6, b7, b9, and b12

B1 is the only one that has thiamine. B2 riboflavin is the most commonly found in foods along with b9 folic acid. B12 is usually in supplements .

We took over again altar.

I read a shit ton when I started, like Ed Rosenthal, Jorge, organic 101, took hort and micro and macro bio in college. I still read but now I find it's more fun to just try shit and see what happens with what I know. Don't get me wrong you can never get enough knowledge but sometimes I just get bored lol
