Seeds and Mylar

Hi, I'm from the uk and thinking of buying some seeds. I totally new to this so I'm hoping someone will point me in the right direction. What is the diffence between Indica and Sativa? I'm up for growing in a shed, I have a 250W HPS light and a fan. Does Mylar contain the heat source so copper choppers cant see the heat on their thermal imaging cameras?

Thanks

Sativas tend to be tall and more lanky. Take longer to grow and finish. The high is normally described as energetic and cerebral (my personal fave)
Indicas tend to be shorter and bushier with faster grow and finish times. The high is normally described as more body relaxing with the couch-lock effect.

mylar does not stop FLIR cameras from working as FLIR is looking for a heat exhaust signature or an extra hot room.

Thanks for the info! I have been given a clone called White Rhino (is this Indica or Sativa?), Ive been growing it for about 3-4 weeks and its about a foot tall, do you think it shoud be a bit taller than this now? When do you think i should put it into flowering?

Like many strains, I think White Rhino is a mix (hybrid) of the two.

Without knowing the particulars of your grow room/situation, I can not hazard a guess as to the health, size and when to flower.

It does sound like you would benefit from reading through the GrowFAQs and perhaps a book or two. It is pretty easy to grow marijuana - it is NOT easy to grow awesome buds so like most things in life -- what you get out of it is directly proportional to what you put into it.

And a heat signature from a shed vs a house is a HUGE alarm.

Houses also have insulation to keep the internal temp from matching the outside temp.. 250W is nothing. 2 people screwing can give off that heat signature (if done right :) )
