The Light of a China Man

Welp I blame you guys for getting me interested in LEDs and sometime last week I bought one of those 300w 9 band spectrum lights off ebay from China for what I consider pretty cheap compared to the name brand lights many of you suggest. Well I finally got my light in yesterday and I'm pretty impressed with how bright it is. Right now it's in a small temporary cab until I find or build something more suitable.Ill be doing a Dwc 12/12from seed. I just wanted to thank you guys for putting me on to these. And looking forward to any input you may have.

I started this thread on my phone while I was at work. Just been geeked up about this. But this is the light I bought http://www.ebay.com/itm/300W-Led-Grow-Light-Hydroponics-Veg-Flowering-3W-Diode-Increase-Yield-Plant-Lamp-/321056460645?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item4ac074cf65 I'll post a few pics once the lights come on. I have the lights on at night while I'm home so I can watch and be amazed while loosing my eye sight
Probably grow some bud for ya. My Blackstars did, and they were less than 195W.

I wouldn't have bought it. You don't need 9 spectrum's, especially IR... kind of seems fishy to me.

Best of luck though! Hopefully it works out for you.

Just a few snappies. Believe me pics doesn't justify how bright this light is. I was going to use the vanity fixtures for cfls but I think it may be over kill, besides it was causing me to have heat issues. I still need to add an intake fan. Just haven't had time to go get a saw yet.201_0440.jpg201_0441.jpg201_0442.jpg201_0443.jpg201_0444.jpg201_0451.jpg201_0452.jpg

I know but I won it for $120 bucks. same price I almost spent on a 130w ufo.

I bought that EXACT same light for my friends at the lab.
Early tests indicate it is producing denser buds with more frost relative to the HPS bulbs.
And that 9 spectrum stuff is bullshit... there are only 4 types of LEDs on there as far as I can tell (two reds--mostly 630nm, one white, one blue)
However, I suggested they switch strategies and begin a SCROG. Not sure what has happened since I last saw them (they were having issues with mites, so I don't WANT to know about that crop).
Nevertheless, they were impressed, and are enthusiastically awaiting the next installment.
But sorry... no pics (they are paranoid about me taking any photos... although I might sneak a cell phone pic next time I visit). ;)

EDIT: I just saw you paid $120... EXCELLENT steal... I paid $176 (plus $20 for the Customs dorks to look at the box...)

Yea I caught it like 5 min b4 the auction closed. One of them nights I was skimming RIU and pricing shit that ppl was talking about. I think this might a decent light because the plants haven't stretched at all for them to be 3 weeks from seed, and in DWC bubbler. IDK if that's any sort of indication but it works for me. lol

I agree with Heckler73....also, imo they seem small for three weeks in.
I wouldn't say they are necessarily "small", because he said 3 weeks from seed. So I presume they took a week to pop, and now they need to get their roots into the reservoir... once they get going properly, they will take off--assuming all variables are dialed in.
Although, if they are in a 12/12 cycle already, that will stunt development somewhat. I've never really tried doing a DWC without at least a couple weeks of veg.

A fan fell on the one on the left a few days ago. And I did bury them a lil deeper. But I agree that they are pretty small. I haven't used any nutes yet. I probably have too much water in res as you can see wet spots on some of the hydroton. PH is running around 6.3-6.5 at the moment.

No nutes? Well, that would explain my imagination
As for too wet, so long as you have the air bubbling away in the water, you should be okay.
BTW, how high is your LED from the plants?

As for nutes? I'm trying to find something easy and simple to use. The LED light was about less than a 12" for the first weeks, but I moved them to about 2' to try to encourage some stretching.
