My possible soil mix

your soil mixture will have nutrients but not to last the entire year. if you look up subcools super soil its a basic soil mixture. i used it last year adding some things and it worked really well.
theres some stuff that confused me. he said that "This is an advanced recipe to be used in conjunction with base soil. First you place a layer of Super Soil at the bottom of each finishing container; then you layer a bed of base soil on top of the Super Soil concentrate; and then you transplant your fully rooted, established clones into the bed of base soil" what is he referring to as base soil? like, my native soil? and by container does that mean the holes im digging? i really like this recipe tho, a lot more than anything else. How much was the roots organic?

I was broke 3 years ago but managed 10 plants. I went super cheap on soil and still had good plants

Cheap potting mix
Bag of composted cow shit
Bone meal
Blood meal
dolomite lime
Cheap miracle grow and molasses for fertilizer

And stretched it more by using some of the soil from the holes i digged. Plants were great just not amazing

roots is 10-20 a bag. i just buy the meals and compost, alfalfa and kelp. buy a couple pounds of what you think you need. mix it with the soil you bought and your native soil. thats what i did anyway.

base soil is what you are mixing with your amendments. what i plan on doing is buying the things i need, mix my compost and the soil i have with some native soil. then put in my amendments as im filing up the holes.

thats probly what ill end up doing. i dunno if im gunna keep doing this so i just wanna get the hang of it for now. If i continue it then ill probly get a better recipe for next year. I was just going to buy some compost and mix it 50/50 with my soil now and adds some nutrient to it. thatl probly work out alright. the guy said that the compost is a lot of leaves n shit, no manure or anything, would it be alright for the plants?
