They are making ten prototype units that will be ready by monday. I should have 1, maybe 2 by next friday for field testing. It will be a 36"x36" housing that contains 4 AT120's spaced 8" apart. It will kill a 4x4+ area at about 600w. I will have a video up as soon as I get them. The plan is by the end of the next month to have 100+ units ready for shipping. That will be a temporary(6-9 months) model till apache separates the AT120 into individual 20w lens units that can each be place for more even of a spread with only about 480w. As of now the lens units are technically separate but the heat sink is one solid piece, so they need to make sure it still cools properly. All the new units will be the same chips(1w) just more of them. Apache is testing new chips but they need to be properly tested and make sure the are compatible with their current platforms and can produce the correct spectrum. They tested a 1.5w chip and produced 3000umols @12" but was getting pretty hot. That is where it is going...1500-2000umols @24" is the next goal.Any more info on the new products from Apache?
Price, availability, etc.?
Gonna pull the trigger on something soon.

Thanks for checking this out. Glad you got the apache bug and see how good these lights are. I would love to see what/how you're doing with them.Happy four twenty! Two! First "legal" one in Washington! I finally got the email registration for creating my user id!! What's up Tags!!
I've been following this post for awhile because I just bought a few r2's for my grow setup too, then stumbled upon this. Im sort of a noob right now growing on my own and I was hoping these lights would give me an edge on starting out. (I'll see if I can figure out how to post a picture so you can see my progress...) ...That's just the start of why these lights are awesome. The par ratings are insane compared to HPS and metal halide. And with the r2's you can supplement the best of both worlds of HPS and metal halide all grow cycle with no fuss, letting you provide a full spectrum at all times. Coupled with correct co2, my plants were hippy hairy the first few days into flower! The red is the action spectrum and co2 helps the plant reach maturity. (I've been doing some homework.)
Bottom line is, less operating cost, higher quality, and greater production.
I'll try and figure out howta post some pix now...
that row that is so much bigger than the others......
Is there an overlap in lighting on that row, or a different combination of two lights at that row? Those things are huge compared to the others
