My possible soil mix

so after doing some research ive figured out what i want. FF around here is like $24 a bag, and i need a crapload to fill all the holes, so ive compiled a different list. It gets hot as hell were im at, and my native soil is crap so ill probably have to replace it all. some of the ingredients are pro mix hp, worm castings, kelp meal, bone meal, lime, bat guano grow, perlite, mulch. Probably those main ingredients. Is that ok? i want to grow some badass plants, and i want them to be a big as possible, but this is my first grow so i dont want to break the bank buying soil in case i mess something up. What would be my ratio of all these products? thanks guys

Are you leaving them in pots or planning to put them in the ground? Your mix is similar to mine, I use a Promix BX and FFOF mix, that seems to be enough until they are ready to be transplanted into the ground and fed with my own teas/nutes.

plantin those bad boys in the ground. how much do you buy FFOF for? because where im at, its like $25 a bad. ok im confused, so after you germinate them do you mix the promix and FFOF in little pots until their big enough to be put in the ground, and them put the promix/ffof/all other nutrients in the ground? im really new to growing if it isnt obvious lol

You know what? Thats what I'm doing.
I have the same mix and I'm putting 3cub ft. per hole and not mixing the compost with the soil.
I'm planning on making tea from the same compost as I'm planting in.
But to answer your question.. I don't know I can tell you better next year.

I might even 50/50 mix promix with FFOF. What is tea? I only started researching all this a few days ago and haven't looked into what tea is.

but i also have crap soil. same with last year and i mixed my amendments and bags of soil i had with half of the native. came out very good. there are nutrients and benefits to native soil. might save you some money. just a thought

really? my soils like... really shitty tho lol lots of clay, but if you say it worked for you then i could be able to use atleast a quarter of native soil.

yeah the first link has pictures of the holes that i used. and this shits like dust here. but a lot of the growers use it so i figured why not. last year i had red clay soil. hard and dense as hell but it worked. i try to get what i can and then spend a decent amount on amending what i have in the ground. lol @ my soils like... really shitty tho

alright, heres a really stupid question for you... what does amending mean.... i thought that meant like... tilling, but i dont think it does, otherwise people would just say tilling lol

also, do you only plant 1 seed per hole? those things are monsters lol most people have told me like 3x3x3, but if you think your holes work better than ill just dig like you did!

haha yeah. personally i do 1 seed/clone per hole. and yeah 3x3x3 would be good. ive been seing some around me and this guy has a 400 foot hole dug. its massive. i was thinking holy shit. many say the bigger the hole the bigger the plant. but then again you have to think of how much soil do you have to ammend and what not. my holes are about 5 feet across and range from 3-4 feet.

wouldnt adding the organic soil mixture that im going with already add nutrient to the native soil? or should i individually add nutrients to my native soil then mix it with my organic soil?

your soil mixture will have nutrients but not to last the entire year. if you look up subcools super soil its a basic soil mixture. i used it last year adding some things and it worked really well.
