I like to attack complex problems by getting all simple/Forest Gump. Step 1 would be the easy stuff, like venting the heat from the lights as well as possible with sealed light hoods sucking cool and vented to somewhere else. Step 2 would be getting the room air under control, what I do is just vent it to the garage with a carbon filter on the intake in the grow room. This summer I'll just open a window in the garage and if it gets too warm or smelly I'll run the duct to the attic and route the duct to the gable vent and dump the hot-smelly air into the great outdoors as stealthy as possible. If the room is still too warm it's time to get a split system installed, with the outside part of the system installed outside, not in the garage. My name is Forest. Forest Gump. True I would really like to keep the co2 since I have 500+ invested in co2 equipment already! I will try and do comparison between co2 and no co2 using same strains and nutrs exactly! I would like to get down to the facts as well.

how much extra heat does this outside unit create? I don't mind venting, plus I might want to veg in there and quarantine so ventilation is inevitable! Do they need a clear air flow path because snow burying the unit was another concern!

i don't really want to attempt install myself but if it isn't super tech I should be able to handle it!

Cannalope kush looking huge compared to kandy and sour! So I will show you them! I hope I didn't mix up labels between the kandy and cannalope, the breeder pics for cannalope look like my kandy kush(huge canopy top with a lot of colas) I may just be tripping but it's possible!

Installation should be very straight forward, hang a unit inside, plumb it outside or to the garage. Install the condenser and power the unit (probably the inside and outside will need power, i have never actually installed one of these). The powering the unit probably going to be the hardest part, other than deciding where exactly to mount everything. If you decide to go for it i can help with everything in the install except for charging the unit if you get one that needs charged. I know the guy who is coming to town in May has years of experience in a/c and could be your biggest help.

Hi chewberto if you can hold off doing the AC unit for about 3 weeks , I’ll be able to help you do the entire job , don’t really know how the AC parts houses do things out there but I may be able to get you your unit wholesale , sure like those pictures .

Its Barr Lake you are most likely talking about, it is a state park, open with fee i believe, but no overnight camping at the actual park. The closest park is on 136th and 1-76, the one i mentioned in a pm, it has lots of permanent residents there, but i do not know the costs.

Portable would be the way to go probably, but expect some leaks with it intaking at least partially from your room and exhausting unfiltered air out. I wouldn't expect too much of a leak, but odds are very against it intaking 100% through the intake hose.

There is another thread that mentions a mini split system just purchased for a grow room that does not require any additional freon if the units are 50 feet apart or less. This unit is very efficient too, 18 SEER, 2 ton.

I would agree with Trueno for easy to install the portable unit would be best as long as you can reach an outside wall for the air in and out , the Toshiba you had listed the site for -----[SIZE=+0][url]http://item.mobileweb.ebay.com/viewi...id=43769614749[/SIZE][/URL] -- would be a more cost effective unit but the line set appears to be standard flare , which means you would have to vacuum the the line set and do some brazing if you wanted to shorten the lines .

Jk it's just over 5 weeks in chewbertos flower room!

The sour kush and kandy have fat calyx production but spread out right now hoping they fills in nice! The sour has major cal/mag def I have fixed that!

The cannalope had a few bananas on random buds I plucked and haven't seen any more since beautiful plant nonetheless, and delicious old school smell I can't yet put my finger on I will figure it out I am sure as we progress! I will label and rearrange on the Mac for you soon! I found that uploading on my wireless wasn't working for me! lame! pics 1-4 are canna lope, pics 5-7 are kand, and the other two solos are sour!

I am not super impressed with the output on sour kush, but the calyxs present are just soaked and doubled up on trichomes! The bud structure hasn't filled in much and the plant is rather small! The kandy is similar but has more tops than a card collector! So I am not worried about her future, but sour with the cal/mag issue and small action, most likely wont see next year!

No autos over here! I may have a few in my collection like sugar mango rider and some others but they will most likely get tossed outside at some point! I don't really have any veg skedge but sometimes I do long one for convenience on cycles! I have done a lot of moving aroun in my grow room so once everything gets dialed back in, I will veg a month a plant!

Hear You dog. I got the rough edge of my wife's tongue this weekend when I resumed construction on my veg box lol. Fuck it, I'm moving my op to the shed, don't see my wife out there too often.... after I get it insulated and cooled, I might just move out there myself lol... at least haul my lazy boy out there....
