Nope, I bury them 2' deep and gophers travel no deeper than 18". I've got gophers like a motherfucker... Like I go to war with the little bastards. I killed over 15 my first year and I'm already up to 3 kills this year. I bomb them with an ag bomb intended to clear out ground squirrels in a few days and that'll clear my block of gophers.

When you took the gopher rings out of the ground last season, did you notice much carnage on the braided mesh?

ok nice . I have to burry my buckets because of the heat but gophers are gnarly here too . I might try the cages next year. What kind of water do you use ? City water ?

Yea I use city water but, my cities water is well water so it's unchlorinated and the ph is 6.5 right out of the hose. I'd need 350-400gallons a week if i had an R/O setup. There's nothing like in ground plants and if you're gonna plant in ground you should cage them. I make 8 cages for around 25$ and well worth it IMO. Just remember to use the 1" wire

damn, your lucky. I wanna go full organic this year but don't want to hand water in dechlored water . Guess I could get a small pump and trash cans for holding tanks. Our water smells like a olympic pool. Thanks for the cage tips .

if you get a power head and pitch it to make the surface it'll evaporate the chlorine much faster.

That Hudson fogger some of you guys have, would it work for bacterial sprays like thuricide, actinovate, or serenade?
