i already have a cfl set up that produces nice buds airy but nice figured if i use them for side lighting i could easily double my yield just a thought what you think about it would there be a markable difference i only assume there would and the heat factor of cfl's would keep it nice and warm my box only has 12 cubic feet of floor space and have a 6" carbon filter runnin 24/7 it gets cool in there at night high 60's sometimes love air conditioning my plants really dont my lights run 24/7Efficient? Yeah, LED's and CFL are both relatively efficient light sources.
Not sure you need those Blue's in your LED spectrum. All those CFL's (and your White LED's) should cover your needs. Tbh, with that much CFL light I'm not sure you need any White/Blue at all from the LED's, you could go 60%-40% on 660nm-630nm and probably be fine.
Why are you going with CFL, anyway, as opposed to more LED? Cost?
so far the most cost efficient way to do this is to use overhead LEDS heavy in 660nm\630nm\610nm, some 450nm, and a little UVB 380nm\IR 730nm.in addition to mixed spec cfl's @ 400 watts total
660nm,
630nm,
460nm,
440nm,
whites
(3000-3500K),
(6000-9000K).
on a 300 watt panel and do you guys think the results of 400 w cfl and 300 watt led of that color be efficient ?
