When we took the tour, it was flat out stated that they weren't going to be selling $400 ounces. Guess what? Quarters going from $90 to $110 @ Slater. And I'm guessing the extra $$$ isn't going into the pocket of the growers. :(

Caveat emptor.

On the up side, I'm sure it will make current caregivers happy . . .

I don't know anything about the market up there, but we use to get beasters from R.I. for dirt cheap. Always thought mj was cheap there, but I guess medicinal can change that notion

Expensive to run a buissness hopefully this don't prompt them to push out caregivers. But at the same note they've been trying that for a while. In the end I know care givers an the dispensaries will work out. Mainly because not everybody knows a caregiver and / or can grow. In the end growing isn't easy and it's not hard it really depends on the personality of the person.

Re-read the first post. They claimed they were *not* going to be selling at that high of a price point. And yet, there they are (and there were only 2 strains available I saw at the $90/quarter point, everything else was more expensive).

My cg just lowered his prices to $250/z out of concern for Slater competition. I guess he didn't really have anything to worry about...

Damn! In Michigan it's 50 a quarter and 200 an oz regardless of if its fire. That's most caregivers the dispensaries were in the 400 range and I felt quality wasn't there for that price when I supported them a couple times. I'm sure it's way different though in a state that is more dispensary adapted.

NOT THAT EXPENSIVE...when they wanna buy at 1600-2000 a lb and are hiking the price that high where is the compassion and all that..im all for the centers but who wins in the end?

I may have to run a delivery service from MI to RI, and would sell for 200/zip and completely write off my gas just to help the cannabis community, and do something for the greater good.

I was there wednsday and there was a tag on the display case with strawberry cough for 55 an eighth. No Meds on the shelf just one tag. I'll just keep providing directly to patients and save them more than half...

Oh ya $440. + 7% sales tax = $470.80... Awesome.. Wtf

Yea on the business side of things I can understand( to certain extent) but to have to sell your product for 50% less than retail I guess u would call it is hard but that's business. I set my prices so even the patient with less income can afford meds. to see it sold that high makes me feel for the people who aren't connected to me.

So the center is saying these prices are a lie and that they had meds at $88 per 1/2 oz..How many strains were at that cost?

In the tour he said specifically he wanted help from the caregivers so they can not rape the community an sell for more than 250/oz...

CG take 200 for awesome meds now.

88 X 16 = 1408 a lb. So they bought lbs for less than that! Sounds like they may have some outdoor stuff on the shelfs for prices like that. I havent been inside since opened but i figured prices would be rediculous even though stated otherwise.

I was there and heard the same thing Ricky.. It was said that our Meds may be worth 300 but they can't sell them that high because it's a compassion center and no one is getting rich off of it, bla bla bla.. Oh well I expected it anyway...

My fault, mis-read... 176 is not that bad because could be there meds from in house. Hell, i could take 175. Just gotta actually see how it plays out i guess.

i do agree when buying things flat rate at 2k most being paid then asking 440 oz its raping the comunity which they made huge deal to help... nothing wrong with upselling. If he knows people to pay 2k or less an can sell more than thats buisness but its up to cardholders to NOT pay above 250 and to not sell for 2k unless large large amount(10pk) if you want things to be fair. Their market is based on us cardholders.

i just think its crap to see in person someone who seemed very pinpointed on how he is here for comunity and asking caregivers to help them get started with cheap meds so he doesnt charge redic prices, which pretty sure he said anything more than 250 was obsurd
