Scrog overkill

I thought of Ona gel an less affective then carbon filters but I don't actually know. I am legal so I don't feel any pressure to fix the issue other then the possibility of people trying to help me harvest when I'm not home lol! I really want to buy a carbon filter for the living room to help filter the smoke, I think that could be half the issue. I just don't want to dish out another 300 bucks.
1 directly compared to the other... I'd use carbon over ONA.. yes - ONA neutralizing some of the shit before it hits pre-filter->carbon-> outbound will prolong the life of the carbon filter (just as the pre-filter will help save on the carbon filter too) and control smells inside the house as well.

Actually I don't use the carbon filter that way, I have my carbon filter sitting in the room with a 750 Cfm fan circulating the rooms air in a mostly sealed room (one dehumidifier in the window). My thinking is that the air gets cleaned many times this way before actually being pushed outside but now I realize some air must get out before being filtered. I don't have a exhaust per say so its a fix ill have to build into the next run. Hmmm....

I have found ONA to be more of a smell coverer than a smell remover.

The "cover" speaks volumes to anyone smart enough.

I made a DIY filter that worked like a charm through my first grow.
When I added a T-8 lit Mothers Area, I started to get smell issues,
as my next Crop was chosen for skunkiness. So, I added a Whisperline
fan and a Can Filter on its intake in the mothers area, with a duct taking
the output into the tent, where the air is filtered again before leaving the
house.

So far, so good. :0)

I did have to deal with a positive pressure in the tent issue. This lead to
smell being pushed out of the tent.

Good luck!

Think so? To me, it may just smell normal due to normal use.. but as for something that covers it - the active ingredients in it would handle the terpenes in cannabis in 1 of 3 ways depending on the types that it came in contact with.. it should neutralize them with chem. reaction, absorption or adsorption... (with adsorption power being relative to the chemistry of the terpene in question, pressure of the environment, and pH)

Going to remove most fan leaves tonight, most of them are faded anyways and even though they aren't dead, I don't think they are helping much. I think the buds will do better by getting the increased light hitting them an I think they will be able to take in plenty still.
Ill post a picture of the results when I get a chance :) only about a week to go!

Sorry I never got around to taking pictures of the plant de-fan leafed like I said I would, it's been harvested and its hanging untrimmed to dry. I honestly have zero clue about the yeild on it but I'm guessing it passed the 1 lb mark an is close to 2. Remember this plant had 2x 1000 watt hps over it and a 600 watt led under it. I'm not claiming anything special in a gpw point of view, but I think I did well for it being inside. When I lifted the wet plant it felt like around 10 lbs or so to my untrained hand, including everything but the roots. It was so heavy that trying to move it made me grin ear to ear after I had cut down several other plants I expect to yeild the more typical 4-6 oz that I've gotten used to seeing and estimating. Comparatively my NL x BB had some branches that were larger then whole plants I grew this time.

hahahaha @ expand, and humble grow. You're doing just fine as you are I think, and am sure you could do well with just what you have in terms of overages going to dispensaries... If you do wish to ever expand though, there's a place -near- Portland.. that's running 16000W (just for flowering, HPS) with 2000W (running MH for veg) just so you know of the competition you will run across in that area / within 100 miles of there. Saw a few tidbits of the house that it's in last night. All indoors, house is almost 6600 sq ft all told too, tis a nice one.

Someday maybe ill have a spot like that. The most flower watts iv ran so far is 7200, an I felt like it was kinda wasted in a 10x10 room, could bairly get the hoods to all fit an ha 2 bulbs bare handing from sockets lol! An now the grower mantra : "if only I had a little more space I could...."

I understand, was just giving you an idea of what you'd see in that area and am thinking you may need another expansion. Do you have a basement? Is there room in it? Is that where the current grow is? If not, why not expand there? :D

Of course I love any advise/comments/reviews/tips or whatever :). To answer where my room is I live in a medium to small house with no extra space. It 2 bedrooms an I'm already sleeping in the smaller of the two ROFL! I keep wondering about trying to section off the room into like 4 different 4x4 areas and just have 1000 watts each so I can harvest a lb every 2 weeks but as good as that sounds it would be a lot of work

Growingforfun this is how you accomplish your goal of a pound every 3 weeks in one room with only a couple lights. The thread is super long, but the system has been tried, true and effective. Stink bud and this system was highlighted on the cover of high times a few years back.

Frames you can build for isolated sections, which can be easily taken down in a day should shit hit the proverbial fan.. panda film between them, paired light/exhausts.. as you don't want a fan blowing previously hot air into another room and just passing it along.. would be a temp control nightmare unless someone really did all the math and the temp outside of said film was dead on, 100% of the time. Except for cost, you could do 4 4x4 spaces, with proper wiring (inside of them), all the electronics needed.. from ballasts mounted on the side frames to keep `em off the floor, fans near the top / drawing hot air from the lights as needed, hygometers, thermometers, CO2 system (if applicable), floor covered with panda film too, and everything else in about 8-ish hours is a guess. I've put up a single 4x4 for a close friend of mine in 2-ish, and that included pizza and a beer 1/2 way through. That 2-ish also included me going to Lowes to pick up the stuff to build the frame to work with, 15 min each way + 7-10 in the store.

Now that I've thought about it more, why do you want to seperate each area? It seems like if they are all on 12/12 leaving it open air would greatly decrease the amount of ventilation and heat issues. If you need one of the areas for veg just isolate one veg area and leave the rest open air. Just my 2 cents.

I agree 100% , the airflow issue is a big deal to me an I would hate to change it an possibly see problems. That's a lot of what's stopping me. I feel that as its currently set up I'm practically mold proof. I have TONS of fans going. 4 wall mounted, a 750 Cfm intake and a 750 cirulating a carbon filter. It's practically windy in there but that's part of my system to make tight crystal covered nuggs, if I closed off into 4 smaller ones my air flow would suffer an heat would go up, possibly

Have you taken a look at stink buds system I posted, or have you seen it before? If you ran the 4 1ks you'd have an awesome room pulling huge weight every 3 weeks in your same bedroom size area. I very well may change to his system when I build my next room. My current room I built to maximize the one light I had, and didn't want to run more then one light. His system can be ran well with only 2 1ks, but 3-4 would really maximize the coverage.
