Oh yea being my favorite back then , well the taste wow, was a taste of its own and packed serious high from trippy if you were just sitten around it was blast off time ,but if you were on the move you could walk forever, hell i remember walking home 10-15 min walk must of passed my house 16 times befoe I got it rite 2 hrs later ,anyhow taste well earthy but not like what we called dirt weed back then, that was your constent average smoke very earthy, this was almost like a hint of wood but somthing sweet about it, like a hint of fruit, buds had a bit orange color in them , In my day the top smokes were oaxacan but we called it wha-heeecan, maiu wowi , And T stk, the #2 strains were the colombian red and alcopoco gold, other then the dirt ,all these smokes were real good the wowi and T/stick packed a punch but nothing like whaheecan as it was called in my neck of the woods, man still chasing that high.sometime I can find a Haze thats good and gives me a sense of the Oaxacan if that helps you.

i started in the mid to late 70's but was almost never sure of what we were really smoking. Of course when you got some Maui wowie you knew what that was but most people sold something they called columbian Gold and im pretty sure most of it was Mexican. When you did get the real Col Gold you could taste a big difference. Do you remember Monkey Paw?

Your description seems to be very much in line with how Dr Greenthumb describes it.

Yea maui had the bag appeal and T stick too, na never had run across the monkey,my neiborhood was very diverse in cultures, my friend was colombian and his older cousin was the go guy for the CG or sometimes CR, and it was always outstanding the red was def more on the trippy side, another friend of mine also older brother lived in so, cali and came home for every holiday to vist and this is where I would get the Wha-hecan,and also Maui sometimes , other then that no name middle of the road very earthy Dirt weed, but I had a good connect for some really good no name weed that gave the most plesant high, sativa ,def mexican.just really nice taste happy good all around smoke ,wish I new the strain .

day 14 of flower.
plant 1-36 inches tall
p2-30 inches
p3- 35 inches
p4-28 inches tall

P1 grew 16 inches in 14 days and the rest of them were close to that.

p1 and p2 look to have a somewhat different leaf pattern to p3 and 4.

p4 was too far in the back of the room to get good pictures.
