What type of deficiency is this

I have 2 flowering plants in week 3 of flower in the exact same space, feeding them the exact same stuff and only one of them is showing
this deficiency while the other plant i have in isn't showing any deficiency's.

I had the same thing happen with my last plant which happened around the same time of flower.

It's in what i think is a 2 gal pot, the other is in a 7 gal pot. That's pretty much the only difference.

Feed is NPK 5-8-12

The vein in the center goes purple

The yellowing isn't starting at the bottom

Temps are fine under a 400w

well i realy dont consider myself to be an expert on these things, but 2 gal seems a little on the small side for a plant that size. my plants start to look like that when the roots arent happy for whatever reason. or if they're getting low n fert and im keeping the light realy close (not close enough to burn just pushing them too hard)

Top and middle. The bottom is all green.

I'm going with rootbound as well, a good transplant causes no bad effects if done right as I'm sure you're aware of

Agreed with the above, would say tis the start of the headache that comes w/rootbound plants, short of you completely boning your plant on NPK, or having extreme pH lockout.

Hmm, imo i think its pretty hard to get a plant truly root bound. Yu can grow a foot plant in a 16oz cup >.> I think SOME people only see improvement from transplanting because of the fresh soil adding to the nutes that they're probably lacking. NPK 5-8-12 is about
1-2-3 = crappy ratio (though im sure it will "work")
Yu may just need a lil N thou looks like yu in flower so not to much. Tips look like they curling/burning, perhaps jus overfert/lockout. Make sure your ph is correct and theres no excess salt build up.

That's what i thought, i'll give it a flush tonight to check if it's a lockout and see what happens because my soil is $20 a bag.

Kind of pissed to have a root-bound plant this small when people are growing trees in the same size pots.

The tip burn is from the soil i use. It's always been too hot for this strain (which
is known for being a light eater)
even though it supposedly only contains worm castings. I only started
started feeding with the flowering ferts last week at half strength for a PK boost.

The yellowing tops started before i started using the flowering ferts.

Looks sort of similar. The soil came with dolomite lime and i supplemented that with more as well but maybe i'll try some Epsom salts.

Runnoff from flush was nearly orange. I think toxic salt buildup was my problem. Hopefully pot size shouldn't be such a massive issue.

Have to bear in mind mate that genetics play the bigget role in a plants characteristics. Some strains can grow easily in tight spaces, others not so much. But I'm sure you'll get to the bottom of it mate, she's still very healthy as most plants in nature nearly always encounter stress of some sort...

Nearly at week 4 of flower. Flush didn't seem to help at all. I feed em both the same thing.

I heard it is pointless transplanting at this stage and that the damage is done. Is this true?

I'd have done it straight away if i had the money.

Well i didn't end up transplanting due to lack of funds and the yield took a bit of a hit but oh, it still did pretty good.

too much P and K, not enough N. Adult plants do not always yellow from the bottom up when N deficient.

Don't they? that's news to me.

So you're saying this NPK value and pot size caused this? The bigger one stayed green 100% up until week 6 so it must at least have
a little to do with the pot size.

I was feeding them both at 2 ml per liter a week but the problem started before i even began to these liquid nutes.
This was from week 2 when the problem was only just beginning to show: I wasn't using liquid nutes at this stage.
