i'm not gonna go and tell you what i think your VPD should be, but i have been aiming for 9 to 10 with my ladies in bloom. that translates accordingly:

i noticed that tip burn decreased when i took the RH up.
i have the dehu set at 65-70% in bloom, and day temp target is 75F.

i got mine at 16 inches or so, on the mover.
you might wanna get it all set up and then test run just the Pontoon without the 420 so you can see what kind of coverage it gives and adjust the height if needed, then fire up the 420. that should land you in a decent ballpark to work from.

Apologies for this off topic post, but I assume that many of the participants on this thread have also been following Spliff's pontoon side-by-side.
After posting a comment to Spliff's thread last night, I went to look for responses to my post and "puff" Spliff's thread was gone! I can't find it by searching, and even looking at the comment history for some of the user's I know have commented there show's no record of posts to that thread! To my thinking this is almost certainly the work of Edisonian thugs threatened by non-incandescent technologies, but I don't know, maybe the conspiracy runs all the way to the top. Maybe it's the minions of the Sun. Stupid Sun.
Anywho, any insights? Anyone?

I also tried sending Spliff a personal message, but said "this user does not accept personal messages". Which seems unlikely for someone who's so involved with the community. As a web engineer I can tell you that sounds more like the response thrown if all of a user's privs have been suspended.

Well I messaged spliff on youtube and for some stupid reason he has indeed been ban for spamming... Idk what rule he broke to do so when other people rape this site for money (you know who you are), guess so long as they lube RIU in the form of money they do not come out the other end butt hurt lol. Idk how long of a ban either since it is not for harrassing someone, which is the only time I see people banned, always see company owners/reps on here but I guess documenting new products is not allowed anymore without appearing biased or something, I will not pretend like I know the reasoning of spliff's ban but I just do not understand I guess cuz if he was an e-mail in my inbox I would not hit spam, or is there a new definition
Edit: messaged potroast cuz I was bored and intrigued about this spamming situation, guess its been cooking a while so best to just let them hash it out. agree with loon though gonna be hard to get mj specific (not entirely necessary but helps) help on this site, especially if chaz is on the line of spam as well *fingers crossed not buddy* according to potroast IG had several puppets on here when the company first started so he is not really warming up to the situation I guess you could say

Hello Everyone. Just spent a couple hours reading this complete thread from Day one. I am getting my Inda-Gro w/Pontoon on Friday and was planning on starting a thread. My question is does anyone know why this Ban happened? Did not seem like Spam to me and by no means want to get banned myself! I have absolutely no connection to Inda-Gro other than supplier customer relationship. Any input will be most appreciated. Hope to get to know you all better.

Uh, this is nuts. A/B testing is the heart of scientific method. It's the OPPOSITE of shilling. My main focus when i first came to this site was to figure out if anybody had ever used induction lighting and if so how it effected yield. Spliff's A/B test was EXACTLY the kind of thing I wanted see. I'm confused as to what the implications are. Does this mean that similar work, like what Chaz is doing is also a breach of RIU's TOS?

First I just want to say that Spliff's work was the reason I visited the sight everyday. I found his work to be incredibly meticulous, thorough, and rigorous. Really, the opposite of shilling. I don't know the man personally, and maybe there's more going on than I know, but my read was that he was driven by a passion for learning more and sharing his learning. I guess I imagine someone paid to shill would not work that hard, and most likely tend to reach for easy or canned responses. Spliff was never like that. As I say, he was meticulous.
Anyway, from my perspective, his ban makes me nervous. Could I be banned for advocating a particular tech or vendor? Do I need to modulate some passion I might develop for fear of being labeled a shill for ostrich intestinal worm saliva?
Again, perhaps there's more going on than I know, but the action definitely has a chilling/censoring effect. As someone running a discussion board I can't believe that's what you want.

I spoke with one of the mods about this as well, unless there was promotion of a competing site there shouldn't have been a ban. I don't think he wasn't talking shit to any one so it must be central to some sort of promoting. In which case it was a misunderstanding I am sure. There are plenty of people that hash out their favorite LED panels all over the place so I can't see induction being different really.

Let's hope it was a misunderstanding but I don't know how you could possibly misunderstand the side by side he was running. It was done with the rigorous attention to detail a good scientific study would demand by a skilled gardener who truly enjoys his hobby and freely shares his knowledge with those of us fortunate enough to have found him on RIU. Even if Spliff is welcomed back, which I hope he is, I would take the removal of his Pontoon side by side thread as a warning he's no longer allowed to allude to anything IG related in his posts. Kind of funny in a sad way cuz this is exactly what the hydro shop owner said he worked for would happen to his job if he told any customers what lights he grows with. They made it very clear he was to rep only the products they decided to sell which of course was HID for the lamp replacement, ducting, etc business it brought the store.with
Was it the fact that it was a side by by with IG products that got him banned? Are we gonna lose Psuagro's new grow too? I don't know what really went down with the Spliff ban but I think I speak for all of us that I just pray the same thing doesn't happen to SteveyG since there lies a pool of knowledge that this forum could not live without.
