Lets all be honest here..there comes those times when you're gonna roll on what your connect dropped you when you don't have a test kit on you. I understand the ideal method of clarifying what you're about to ingest would be to use a test kit. However, for the sake of this discussion let us just assume the situation we're in doesn't have a test kit in the equation.

Now, what do you look for when you score some pre-capped molly that is known to be 'fire' or even 'pure', '84% MDMA' within the community?? Color? Crystals? Anything to do with powder if present? Taste? How fast the crystals dissolve under your tounge? How long drip lasts if snorted?

I would love to compile some answers for the questions above in order to be better prepared for situations such as the one I've depicted in paragraph#1

All in put on this subject is welcome. Providing quality posts which contain links to reputable sources to back your points would be ideal for this thread.
Hopefully we get some chemists*cough*eDucks to provide some valid answers to the questions I'm interested in knowing the answers to.

To my knowledge, there's nothing specific that characterizes MDMA. It can be fine powder or bigger crystals, it can range from tan to orange to green to blue to red, to yellow, and other substances can make you feel similar to how the effects of MDMA would make you feel, so unless you test it, it's pretty much best guess

Dude I've looked at hundreds of batches of MDMA/RCs/ Whatever, and to be 100% honest there isn't really a good way to tell just by looks. I've seen RCs and MDMA side by side that look identical

That being said, if you don't have a test kit I'd go off of purity by looks. I'd want shards over anything. Color wise, it's like any of HCL shards... the more clear they are the better (I think).

Here's one...smell..after importing pressies I know were tested as pure,having thousands around,you can smell it...and taste..looks are decieving,but when it looks like fresh fallen snow and is sparkly like the snow in the morning,its usually a good indication..mind you I'm talking about it actually being mdma,not the purity od the mdma..I guess in my experience I've been luck to be around enough exctasy to know what's what...

There's a good way to tell if you've eaten it a million times. it has a specific taste. There are some things that taste similar, but not the same. Also sometimes you can tell by the smell.

I doubt that I could tell some of the close analogs apart by taste.
As far as appearance looking impure is now a better sign that it's actually MDMA. I've seen a lot of gorgeous looking methylone.

I don't take untested drugs. Hell I usually wash MDMA with acetone, it's simple and your product will be top shelf. Dry your acetone with Epsom salts bakes at 400°F for an hour or two and then recrystallize with 50mL of acetone per gram of MDMA.

I know there are numerous other crystallines that look like MDMA, I was talking more along the lines of purity. My experience has been, if it's crystallized (regardless the substance) then it's more pure.

Good crystal structure is a good indicator of purity, but not what the compound is.

I'm assuming you mean MDA by sassafras, if there is some traces of safrole because the chemist cared more about yield than purity it can have a root beer smell. Or it can smell of MDP2P which is really distinct but I can't think of how to describe it other than it smells of MDP2P. It's a weird ketone smell. But the best has no smell.

I don't trust anything being marketed as 84% because that's implying the HCl is an impurity. But if you had 99%+ MDMA HCl it wouldn't increase the purity.

So it could be 99%,but becauce the hcl is part,and hcl is not mdma,the remainder of the product makes it 84%?..not trying to be a yawn,just trying to understand,cause the stuff is def. legit,just might be touted as something different via communication breakdown possibly...fill me in if ya feel like it...
