Hi, have you used Dr. Bonners Peppermint Soap? It is a hemp product and is comparible, if not better, than Neem Oil. I learned these tricks recently from the Medicine Man that teaches Beginning and Advanced Gardening at the THC Foundation in Portland Oregon, USA. Also, put med-lg gauge Diatomacious (Diatoms) found at Nursery's on top of the soil. As the Crawling Pests move across it, it cuts there poor little bodies to shreds. Diatom's have sharp irregular Skeletons made of Calcium Carbonate. Avoid Diatomacious additions where roots are...it will cut those up too! So, only on top of the soil to get rid of soil crawling pests. Sincerely THCFWriter

well went and checked them today, they look good, not much growth tho I gotta say. Probably because the temps have been so high lately. Its been 90 degrees F for most of this week. Also I think that the soil got to compact from heavy rains, and roots are having trouble getting through it. Also one of my plants from the mix had been totally knocked over. It was buried by the soil, but it didnt look like it had been there long, and the roots were still holding onto some soil, so I just got him back into the pot. Hope it didnt stress her out to much.

I may transplant one of the kahunas into a new mix to see if the slow growth is from heat or from soil.

New soil mix is going to be, Foxfarms ocean forest, perlite, worm castings, and Fafard 2P. I think this will be a very good soil. We shall see

Pictures up tomorow as promised = )

haha, yeah. Im going to go and get pictures of the babies today. I transplanted the 2 kahunas into bigger pots, with a lighter soil mix. I hope it helps promote growth. Well see.

haha man
i was just reading this whole thread.
i saw those pictures of the giants and my eyes nearly popped out of my head. my plants are almost the exact same size as your "actual" seedlings. If they grew that big in 9 days i was going to shoot myself. Looks like the competition is on baby! Bring it!
