Calyx or Balls?

I ran that strain awhile back from Barneys and all the plants did weird shit. For me I got 5 different phenos out of five. I've also seen where other growers have had some weird plants from the feminized LSD seeds. Now that is not saying that all Barneys LSD seeds were unstable, but from my home work I found that their were many different phenos and that is does have a tendency to be unstable. FWIW. I'd just keep growing it and see what progresses. Like the others have said, you should still end up with some pretty good smoke. Good luck...
Thanks for your input man. ill keep growin her. this is the only unusual thing I've notice but I picked it off and it seems alright, ill just need to see what the flowers look like. I had a female bag seed last grow, after harvest and curing it I found over 100 seeds, wasn't that potent and bad smell. I just want to make sure I'm not spending 4 months on that again

What do you mean toss it? Nothing wrong with a hermie. It's going to be an epic smoke and you will end up with nice feminized seeds.

Hermie is a win/win unless you are selling your produce. If it's for your own use, give it love and you'll be rewarded twice.
really....cause from MY EXPERIENCE, depending on what caused the "hermi" will depend on how well your seeds will do...for instance, if it hermis caused by you flowerd for a long time and the plant just trying to preserve its genetics via mutation (or whatever its called), you will have a higher female to hermi ratio...if it happens early into flower for no reason, there is a good chance the hermi gene is strong in the geno and will cause most (if not all) seeds harvested to hermi...me personally, if a plant hermis before week 9, its gone, no questions asked...id rather search for months and find that super fire pheno, that just me tho...

Odd, I have heard a lot of Barney's Farm seeds showing male flowers.
If it is feminized, it can not be a real hermaphrodite.

It showed male flowers most likely due to too much feeding. That is the most common way of stressing a plant.

This "hermie gene" people talk about does not exist in the way people think it does.

Properly produced feminized seeds make female plants that are just as likely to "hermie" as the parents.
If the parents "hermied" because too much fert was used, the babies will have the same tendency.
That does not make the plant a hermaphrodite.

Every female weed plant has the ability to produce male flowers.

To the OP:
You can keep it and try to pick off the balls. You probably will not get them all. so you will have some fem seeds.
If you grow those seeds the same way as you did the parent(s), they will probably produce male flowers.

This does not so much have to do with stability.
Maybe Barney's Farm genetics are just more persnickety than a lot of strains.

Try to figure out why the plant produced male flowers, then fix that. Or try a new seed bank producer.

Thanks for this information, I understand it better now. As to to much feeding, I dont believe that to be the case. PPMs have been really low. I always to light feedings, and havent seen any burns or anything on the leaves. Is there another way i can tell if im over feeding?

Not sure if this could stress the plant but... I have my grow box in my dark crawlspace. At first (during veg) i would take her out into my laundry room and do the watering/feeding there by a large sink for the run off. Id give the plant a little time tipped over to drain the excess water out. Then bring her back to the grow room in the crawlspace.

Other than that temps have been on the higher side 28-29C but theres tons of airflow (3 fans, 2 inside one outside).

I will be growing it out most likley unless balls pop up everywhere. But i still am not seeing any other signs of male flowers.

As to other seedbank producers, I stocked up on a ton of strains and different producers! Reserva Privada, Greenhouse, Kannabia, World of Seeds, Elite Seeds, Emerald Triangle, Next Generation, Female Seeds, Big Buddha, OG Raskal, and a couple more Barneys strains. Growing 2 plants at a time after this i think ill be good for a while, with 18 strains total :D

I can not say for you. I do not even know if you are in soil or otherwise. IMO the most common reason for male flowers on female plants is over feeding.

I do not know what to tell you. It put out male flowers for a reason. Plants for the most part only do that if they are stressed. I have also heard a bunch about male flowers on Barney's fems (those could have been stories from people who over fed?). It could be a combination of things, I don't know.

Keep checking and keep plucking them unless you want to toss the plant. I used tweezers to remove male parts when I had the same problem. (My fault, I over fed in hydro) I ended up with some punk seeds (under developed, not viable) from the balls I missed.

If you get male flowers next time doing the same thing, then it is your fault. If you grow two different seeds the same way you are currently growing and they show male flowers, then you have a problem with your growing environment and or nutes.

I wish you good fortune as luck does not exist.
