End of week 3 vegging. Haven't watered or fed since the transplant. Temps have been between 70*-78*F. Just like last week, C1 is still the tallest and C3 and C4 are now slightly shorter but the same height as each other. C1 is showing more Sativa while C3 & 4 are showing more Indica

- Alot of growth this week
- Between 3"-4" tall, 7-8" wide
- 4 full sets of leaves, 5th sets emerging
- Quite a bit of secondary growth
- C1 scent definitely turning more skunky. C3 & C4 have a cleaner, mint scent

Here are some pics (group, C1, C3, C4).

beautiful plants yankeegreen. They are about to explode aren't they? Next watering I bet they double in size.
They look like they will be a good sized plant. How long are you gonna veg for?

Looking good Yankee! Mine are growing really fast now. The way mine are growing in their natural state, I'd imagine yours would respond well to topping soon if you wanted to - perhaps something like Uncle Bens 4 cola technique if you do that sort of thing.

Cheers! This strain rocks so far!

Thanks guys, very much appreciate the kind words.

EM- planned on vegging for 5-6 weeks. I'd like to take cuttings before putting them into flower.

brewer - Just took a look at your post, its like seeing the future man! I am thinking about UBs topping method but want to wait til I can get some cuttings. By that time it would probably be best to cut down to the 2nd node anyway.

Yeah, if I could go back in time, I would top them. I think if you wait until the 5th node is growing and top right above the 2nd node you should get 4 main colas, and you can use the cut off top to root a clone. Keep in mind that I've never tried this personally so hopefully someone with experience can chime in. :peace:

Haven't had the best of luck rooting top cuttings so I'd rather let them veg longer and take a couple branches branch for clones. Slower growing strains, usually by 6 weeks with a faster growing strain like the Chills probably more like 5 weeks.

Makes sense. The cutting I took after flipping seems to be rooting so you could always go that route. I saw Jorge C. do that in one of his videos.

Getting some good secondary growth this week. I should be able to take cuttings and top by the end of next week at the latest.

Took cuttings and topped the Chill OMs today. Was going to top above the second node like the BTBs but there is no growth on the first node. I opted instead to take cuttings from the 4th node and top above the third. Will leave in veg for a week before moving to flower.

After the topping

Upcanned the Chill OMs to 3 gal pots this morning. Solid root growth and a whole lot more spinout than I saw on the Beyond the Brains I am also growing - and a week younger. I think I will move them into flower mid week.

Well, this grow is finished. After a week in 12/12 it is clear that all three plants are male and have been binned. Too bad as the plants were growing great, and the smell was fantastic! Maybe one day I'll pick up some more of these beans.

Oh man, I'm saddened to hear that. My two girls are bouncing back nicely from my mistreatment and I'm going to have to stake them only 5 weeks into flower. The buds are getting quite heavy. If you're looking for breeding material, it may be worth grabbing some pollen from one of the males. This is a vigorous strain and is going to be a big producer.

Edit, just realized you already cut them. It's always so disheartening culling the males after putting in so much work.

Yeah, just bad luck. So far for the Mandala grows:

24 seeds total
20 germinated
9 males
3 females
8 unsexed and in veg (Hashberry & Beyond the Brain)

Thanks for coming along for the ride! Good luck on your grows EC & brewer, I'll be watchin.
